I was wondering when that work was going to begin as they did predict many years ago that if they became a Prem club ever the Turd would need to be twice as big...

Par for the course with some it's all about opinion and it's more about investing in a proper centre forward than him personally he's just a good example. -
Jack Walker, Alan Shearer, Derek Fazackerley, Bob Crompton.

Mcburnie seems to have risen in popularity since summer, not many wanted him when we were linked, not good enough apparently. -

Yes they won't bat an eye lid because they'll console themselves with the hope Gudjonsson will score a bag full in league 1 and triple his worth. We could afford one marquee striker on decent wages given all the sales and wages off the books and whilst he might be 29 just look at Danny Graham for example and how he was worth the wages. Not only in goals but the way be brought other into play - helping increase their value - and used his experience leading the line. We can't afford NOT to have a striker with some pedigree they seem to have forgot Szmodics almost single handidly kept a stronger squad than this up. -
Rudy is looking to be the next Thingy Bassini or that twerp who ruined Leeds, Cardiff and Preston whose name escapes me. He leased a fish tank and Mark Viduka at Elland Road. Basically he's a spiv using this club to build networks so he can hop from 1 gravy train to the next.

'who'll want AT LEAST 10k a week' So that doesn't alter the point does it whether he's on £10,001 a week or whatever he was never on this radar. -

There you have it Chaddy - my post above on Saturday 13 September after the Watford game !!!! Don't worry lad, amnesia affects us all to various degrees!!!! I judge players on what I see with my own eyes and I stand by my opinions made about our new signings a couple of hours ago. Let's revisit them come November and I would suggest reality might have hit home with you by then -

To be honest in terms of individual playing ability I am not really seeing a big gap from what we have this year to last year. We could go back a year and find posts from you and others saying we were getting relegated with Travis, Dolan, Brittain, Hyam etc. The difference is imo 1) a huge volume of players are brand new and learning the country, club and system, 2) none of those players bar McCloughlin and TGH have any championship experience, 3) the manger is not as good as Mowbray, Eustace and JDT 4) we lack a consistent reliable defence and central midfield partnership Essentially I am not really sure the quality of the incoming players is the main issue, its turnover and loss of experience. A lot of football is not won on ability, its won on being organised, bonded as a team and aligned to a plan. -
