  1. Past hour
  2. Shane Duffy doing Shane Duffy things: https://www.balls.ie/football/shane-duffy-norwich-city-fan-642715 In the interest of balance, he did come out with a full apology after. Regardless, there's only one knob, and it's the professional footballer getting into twitter spats with fans at the age of 33.
  3. I know of quite a few older long term rovers fans who now spend most of their time watching Chorley and only visit Ewood occasionally. It used to be the other way around.
  4. Fantastic!!! Great to get the ball rolling.
  5. Gordon Taylor was quite a powerful person. Any idea what he was doing back at Rovers on a Tuesday night game?
  6. You would think so wouldn't you. Yet I know adults who have changed there club to Accrington Stanley over the past 15 years, and one who changed there club to Harrogate so anything's possible!
  7. So much for this non existent unwritten 'don't tread on other local clubs toes' made up nonsense then. This might be a little bit of tit for tat from the LT towards Ewood.
  8. Uwais Patel. Trustee of the Community Trust.
  9. 'The Project Stadium' or as voted by facebookers and the LT posters the 'Trust the Process Stadium' Or in reality 'Suhail FC Stadium'.
  10. I'm not sure who they are targeting. The sort of Rovers fan that read the LET will be of an age where they're a long established supporter (ie. not a child), that isn't going to change which club they follow.
  11. WATR have already met with the head of the regulators office. It won’t be a quick fix, but lots of what we said raised eyebrows and was very much of interest to them. It was definitely a very positive meeting.
  12. I thought Harry Healless would have been listed in this group. Blackburn born captain of the 1928 cup winning team with nearly 400 appearances for the club and capped a couple of times by England
  13. Prior to the ban, it appeared that what he said in his columns and what he said in his podcasts were two very different things which I dont like at all. Since the ban he seems to have been doing a fair amount of brown nosing with his articles with the exception of the latest one for which the headline said we had to accept we were in a relegation battle. (Stating the bleedin' obvious, but still) It attracted the usual amount of derision from the two or three really obvious plants in the comments section but was received a lot better than usual in general so even they're starting to turn.
  14. I know that's how I felt. I know football peak and troughs but ours has trenched. Strange being on the other side of the fun. Not pleasant at all.
  15. Or "The stats say we will be alright , Arena". Or "The Marie Celeste, Park".
  16. Today
  17. It’s all a dilapidated, downsized version of what we had twenty five years ago, when we were a club that was innovative. The game has long left us behind
  18. One is Gordon Taylor formerly of this parish and more widely known as longstanding CEO of the PFA
  19. The reality for many thousand's now especially when the current product is so damn poor.Add to that midweek games in Winter and Im sure the downward spiral in attendance will continue.
  20. Managed to walk around the CBS on Saturday there's so much going on loads of new additions to bring the fans in, yes they are doing well on the pitch but looks like they have a superb home there. The club shop is a decent size with some smart gear on offer, the prematch build up is brilliant, they've found their calling with their new pregame song, and a flag that dwarfs ours, their screen/scoreboard is massive and plays previous games and player intros, really builds the hype and gets everyone going. I love wild Rover and have enjoyed our jumobtron but I think its all getting dated. VENKYSOUT we need a refresh
  21. I have a season ticket and this will only be my, I think, third trip to Ewood this season and we are in late October, and to think we’ve had a friendly and cup tie at home too. It’s a real bloody effort to motivate yourself to go when the regime has no particular interest in even staying in the division never mind actually achieving anything. So if I’m thinking like that as an already paid up ST holder how on earth can you expect floating fans to give a flying fuck (shelling out 30 quid a time to boot)? As the club certainly doesn’t.
  22. If you get chance and you're able, I would recommend listening to Elliott's latest podcast recording (the podcast is called Arte et Labore If you're not familiar). He put out a 20 minute episode very late on Tuesday night after the Sheffield United game. It's just him by himself giving a debrief on what a horrid night it was. He also tries to give a bit of context to his article from the weekend, because he's aware some fans were pissed off with it. He then spends a lot of time talking about where he thinks we are right now and what the issues are and I couldn't find fault with much he said in the 20 minute piece. He isn't perfect with everything he does as none of us are, but I don't think he's trying to tow the Rovers line in order to be invited back or anything. I think we can read between the lines more often than not and see that he is more on our side than theirs, he's just limited on how he can phrase things as he's a journalist. Just my opinion anyway 👍
  23. Bolton Wanderers now advertising all over the LT!
