Why do people get the impression that all we will be doing is drinking. Theres plenty of sights and culture to experience. I hear WaterWorld has some very exotic sights.

Enjoy Vilnius lads, it's a great place. The Soviet Occupation Museum, on the main street on the way to the Parliment building is worth a visit.

Also try some of the stalls selling amber; these are good value but look out for fakes; also some really good cheap antiques if you are not too ratted!.

Also a couple of good lap dancing clubs for those who want some local culture.

Glad you enjoyed the web links I posted - looks like we've got a few bars to get around!! NO SWEAT!!!

I'm finishing at dinner today - gotta pick my currency up, then going out for a few beers so I sleep tonight, so no doubt I'll see a few of you out in Vilnius, as well as on the flight / coach trip tomorrow!

To say I'm excited is an understatement!

Difficult. Best bars are around the new town but few have TV. THe best is probably Le Chesterfield, Hotel Nassim, 115 Av Mohammed V. Lunchtimes until 2300. A proper English pub. Get dropped off at McDonalds, the main place and walk away from the old town. Its on the left had side (opposite to Mcs) as you walk down the road. About 400 yards. Always have English football on usually. The Hotel Akabar in Hivernage has a small hotel bar and they have ARAB TV with english football. I doubt anyone has Setanta.
