nicko
There is a very surprising trialist in today...too bizarre for words...have to leave that for the day job sadly. Di Santo is on his way according to my Chelsea chums. In fact, he may even be in the building. Benjani could not come on loan - if it was ever even considered. Surely not a buy. Money now going on midfielders. Plus the trialist's appepearance would also suggest that Benjani was never a goer. All will be revealed on that one. So this suggests that the 'trialist' is a striker then. More bizarre than Vieri or Fowler?
Bobby G
Trialist? When you say Benjani was never a goer, it tells me its a Man City player. Bojinov? Petrov?

I know you can't answer any questions on the identity of the player but for one quick question, is the trialist a current international player? Cheers Nicko
Hughesy
So going off Nickos news. We have Roberts, McCarthy, Kalinic & Di Santo (Both due soon) + another striker on trail (Lita - or has he confirmed Boro?!)
LeftWinger
More bizarre than Vieri or Fowler? Maybe it is Fowler
Wild Irish Rover
Maybe it is Fowler Or maybe Shearer... I hear he's kicking his heels these days..
nicko
So this suggests that the 'trialist' is a striker then. More bizarre than Vieri or Fowler? Yes, he is a striker. Younger, but been off the radar almost as long...

alexjw
Its Mutu. I hear he needs some money at the moment, and is a favour to Chelsea in return for Di Santo

rundereim
my guess is Darius Vassell
LeftWinger
Michael Ricketts? Good call - hope you're not right! It won't be Vassell - he's just gone to Turkey.
AggyBlue
It won't be Vassell - he's just gone to Turkey. Isn't there an English striker in Turkey that has been doing quite well. Anyone remember his name?
T4E
Colin Kazim-Richards.
Mafioso
Could it be (in an ideal world) Michael Mifsud ?? He was all over the place a couple of years ago scoring 2 against United and 2 against us. He's younger, bags of pace and skill. He's been ''off the radar'' for a while now. Plus he's free. EDIT. Then again its not such a bizarre one. AggyBlue
Colin Kazim-Richards. Just found him. Didn't do as well last season as I thought, only scored a couple.
daveoftherovers
Its Mutu. I hear he needs some money at the moment, and is a favour to Chelsea in return for Di Santo Ah ! Splendid effort Alex, he would have been off the radar and does owe a few people a few quid...
Bobby G
It has to be a current Man City player, because Nicko ruled out getting Benjani on loan.

broadsword
I've got a funny feeling that it'll be Mutu. Just the fact that Nicko said it was almost too bizarre for words ... given Mutu's history, that seems about right.
