What I want to know is, whats this 'Burnely are back were they belong' nonsense.

Burnley belong in the lower leagues is that not what the history books tell us a bit like Leeds United's history.

I may write a piece about the Dingles and their misguided ways for a column at some point in the future but I didn't see the programme...by any chance did Campbell bleat on about the best percentage of fans per catchment area drivel (lies) that he talked about recently? I have already shot down that myth once and for all on this thread, I may have to do it again for a wider audience!

No he doesn't, the bit at the start is clearly captioned 1960 at the begining (I expect it was true at that time), with our new fans this season we may get close again. In fact he does mention when we used to get less on a home league game than the 3000 we took to the pre season game at Bradford last month. Cracking programme.

Wonder if our Clarrott 'friends' visits on here will gradually ebb away as the season gets going!

Doubt it, you would miss us too much.

Pity they don’t fancy the trip to Stoke because they’ve not sold out, first game in the top flight since the 70’s and they can’t manage 2800 to Stoke

Give it a couple of years and tall tales of 1000's locked out will fill the pub and clubs of burnley :D

It's DAVE Burnley, I think Clarette is a cracking name but if I remember rightly he wanted to call her Clarette Ann Baloo! Luckily her mum wouldn't wear that one!

Ahh, another Dingle with a habit of over inflating the number of fans.... there is a surprise, obviously something that runs in the family.

Is that aimed at me, Mr Campbell who says it on the programme or the official figures?

3000 to Bradford pre season, but couldn’t sell 2900 for your first competitive game in the top flight since the mid to late 70's? and only 65 miles away?

Strange one that for the biggest and best supported club in the world…..

Maybe the masses saw what was coming :P

2020 at Bradford.

2020 to a burnley fan is at least 3000.

i thought everyone knew that?

Here's one for you. We're going to beat Man Utd on Wednesday.

I stake my much valued and respected reputation on it.

I shall look forward to regaling you with tales of this great night on Thursday morning.
