cletus Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Spoke to a Safety steward last night in the pub. He said the arrangements for housing the retards is such.... 1500 in top tier 1500 in Lower tier (i thought it would`ve been 1000 in top 2000 in bottom) but apparently not. The no-mans land will consist of a line of stewards/police, then a netted off section (8 seats thick) another line of stewards/police, then another netted area (8 seats thick) then another line of stewards/police. The front of the Dingles section is netted off too. Each coach will offload directly outside the turnstiles & they will go straight into the ground (that`s why they`re setting off so early) & the bus will be parked up near the BRIC. Police in riot gear will be waiting in the wings to quell any bother. He has also been led to understand NO beer will be on sale in the away section, before, during or after the game. The home ends WILL have beer on sale. Also a total 'zero tolerance' approach to any dingles found in the home ends. They will be removed straight away & thrown out of the ground....NOT moved into the away end. Also anyone found to be drunk will be taken out, arrested & charged with public order offences. He said these plans have been put in place over the last month or two. I`m not saying these plans are good or bad for football, i`m just passing on what i got told.

jodrell Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Is that Garner the ex con ,remind me what did he get locked up for,"mentality and intelligence"irony at its best. Better give up the hole is getting deeper by the quote. As reported by dingle sad. 45. Beware the ironing board Having never stolen from a supermarket or store I would not be sure but I would have thought that if you were going to pay for one item and steal another then it would be advisable to pay for the cheaper item. That isn't exactly what happened when Burnley striker Oooh George Oghani decided to buy an ironing board but steal a bag of screws at the same time. Over the years it seems to have been forgotten that it was screws he was trying to avoid paying for, it is always the ironing board that is remembered. Poor George was caught and in an attempt to get away decided to whack the security man with the ironing board but in the end it did him no good and he had to make a court appearance. The club supported him although gave him a final warning and he was to remain a Claret until he decided to try and re-arrange Chris Pearce's jaw the following year.
Exiled_Rover Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Anyone drunk will be arrested and charged with a public order offence? Hello Nazi state.

Looks like the whole middle block will be the 'no mans land' then, with police/stewards at each end and the middle of it where the metal fence is.
cletus Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Anyone drunk will be arrested and charged with a public order offence? Hello Nazi state. .....obviously drunk & acting like an idiot. lol
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 1500 in top tier 1500 in Lower tier In terms of the noise they can generate - this may be a good thing - especially at ground level. The Rovers fans in the DE lower will only be slightly out numbered - our chance to out chant the Dingle grunts.
philipl Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 If they make as big a no-man's land at t'Turf, there will only be stewards, police and netting in the ground! Incidentally anyone obviously drunk needs running in for their own safety no matter where they are.
only2garners Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Between the Hoghton arms and The Royal Oak is The Boat Yard-maybe O2Gs barge is moored up there and can give us all a ride to the match? Unfortunately Ozzie it's back in the marina in Scarisbrick, at least two days cruise away!
Ossydave Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I'd be livid if I was a dingle and they aren't serving ale. Putting them in the ground at that time and then doing that is bloody ridiculous IMO. Lets hope this one passes off without any problems and they loosen up on the completely OTT 'security measures' next season, providing we both stay up of course.
jrabrfc Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 For a literary equivalent of the atmosphere tomorrow for both sets of fans, this is as close as I can find, only for 2 minutes read 90: 1984

Balwer Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just arrived in Blackburn, checked in to my hotel and find myself with nothing to do. Help?
Ricky Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I know quite a few of the guys off here are out in Blackburn tonight.
Ben-2000 Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just arrived in Blackburn, checked in to my hotel and find myself with nothing to do. Help? It could be worse - you could be in Burnley! Don't have the number of any call girls, sorry
RIML Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 Just arrived in Blackburn, checked in to my hotel and find myself with nothing to do. Help? I'm still waiting on the Mrs to get ready (it's brian_gallagher85 btw lol) We should be in Blackburn in about 40mins Head down to the Postal Order and we'll go from there (Two Irish blokes amongst a group of locals, can't miss us ) I'll message you on here where we are when we get there
Ossydave Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I`d have thought all these silly measures are provoking fans more than if they weren`t there!! Agreed completely. Also something else which is just idiotic is they've made the Calder in Accy a 'Burnley fans only' pub for the day after police advice. Yeah good idea, so any Blackburn fans looking for bother just need to get off the train at Accy station (2 mins from the Calder) or get mini buses or whatever and have instant access to a shitload of dingles who'll be up for a bit of a do.

Really? I`m planning on going down ossy early tomorrow morning for some `breakfast` Should be full of blues... Accy will be a warzone tomorrow night, that is for sure.
Ossydave Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 I'm gonna wander round to the plough at half 9, should be a good set of lads in there. I know first hand where Burnleys 'lads' are planning on turning up after the game, and no it ain't accy this time out.
AndyNeil Posted October 17, 2009 Posted October 17, 2009 ooo, do share david ... its no good if there other side don't know
