Its been two years since the last HOME shirt came out

Every year a new England shirt comes out, one year home, one year away. They always last for two seaosns though

Just noticed that Upson is playing. Capello is a ###### idiot

Upson isn't playing.

Capello is one of the most successful coaches of his generation and certainly NOT an idiot.

There are, however, far too many idiots both on this board and elsewhere who are jumping on the anti-Capello bandwagon generated by the tabloids.

He's an excellent coach who had a bad tournament. Lippi had an awful tournament but won the World Cup 4 years earlier.

England team to face Bulgaria tonight: Hart; G Johnson, Dawson, Jagielka, A Cole; Walcott, Milner, Barry, Gerrard; Defoe, Rooney.

Capello is far too stubborn, and Gerrard on the left dosent work

Crikey, what on earth would you like him to do? Name a team of eleven Championship players just to get some fresh blood into the team?

That line up with Hart, Jagielka, Dawson, Walcott and Defoe is massively different to our World Cup starting line up - how on earth is he being stubborn?

I do agree with you about Gerrard on the left and I'd swap Barry for Adam Johnson on the left wing but I guess he's already got a lot of newish players so he might want a bit of experience and continuity.

He always names a 4-4-2 and he is trying to prove Gerrard is good on the left, its stupid when Lampard is fit but without him...

Many have called Capello for not playing a midfield 5 and Gerrard off Rooney, both have proved more than capable in a 4-5-1.

Id go for a midfield of:

Huddlestone Milner

Adam Johnson Gerrard Ashley Young

Gareth Barry is NOT international class.

Edit: ITV think Milners on the left, i hope that right. Also Popov starts.

Popov looks like a very neat player, technically great. Looks like we missed out on a good player.

From what we have seen of Popov, we would have not had to wait to long for him to get up to speed for the Prem.

As well as his good technique, he looks to have good upper body strength always a good sign for the Prem, Oh Well!, wasted in Turkey.

That was lifted STRAIGHT out of a bit of commentary

Indeed. I was going to add "added Townsend" but I didn't think people would get the reference. (present company excepted)

Despite Ashley Cole being a total nobhead as a person, he is a blummin' brilliant footballer. So glad he plays for England. Easily England's most consistent player in the last 5 years.

Rubbish.

Lampard has been FAR more consitent, IMHO.

You serious?!

Lampard was good vs Germany but flattered to decieve in the rest of the World Cup and was terrible in '06.

Cole often plays well even when England play badly.

...unless you mean consistently bad

For 1.5 million, Rovers have missed a hell of an opportunity to sign Popov. He has pace, vision and scored 32 goals in Bulgaria last season. I bet Sam is so fed up with the decision not to buy, that's why he's gone on holiday in the huff. The excuse that we needed to sell RFoberts first is pathetic.

He signed for Gaziantsespor in Turkey for 1.5m euros on deadline day when it was clear we wouldn't pay thr fee.
