Backroom Tom Posted April 8, 2010 Backroom Posted April 8, 2010 Hughesy you seem to have some genuine info on this compared to your usual inside info. Can I ask how you know, are you on the fans forum or in some way work with the club?

Hughesy Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Have you seen the shirt? If so, Giz a clue Yes...and there have been plenty - its not white...or pink.... Can I ask how you know, are you on the fans forum or in some way work with the club? Neither.....
vyeo Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Still rooting for Red/Black. Top three away kits for me during our premiership days were the Asics Black/Red, Kappa Red/Black and Umbro Red/Black halves. This is getting quite exciting. Does anyone know how many more years have we got Umbro for? I had the impression it was just a 3 season deal, which would expire this season and I have not read anything about it being renewed.
Backroom Tom Posted April 8, 2010 Backroom Posted April 8, 2010 Fair enough cheers for the info anyway will look forward to seeing it tomorrow
T4E Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Hughesy you seem to have some genuine info on this compared to your usual inside info. Can I ask how you know, are you on the fans forum or in some way work with the club? He sends a lot of emails.
Anti-Dingle-Brigade Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 He's best mates with the women who sew them together.
Hughesy Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 He's best mates with the women who sew them together. Who B4E?
Gumbi Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 As our new kits are going to be part of the Umbro Tailored range, I wonder what the chances are of us having a retro style blue and white halved training jacket.
MeanGreenMachine Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I requested somthing similar to the England track top they line up in before the games, very very smart, just a pity they are 60 odd quid.
Backroom Tom Posted April 8, 2010 Backroom Posted April 8, 2010 Glad we are going in the tailored range they look quite nice and the City third kit is ace with the small sponsor up top. My favourite ever kit would be the perspex one and my favourite away was the navy kappa one, loved that one.
Guest andrewpickup Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 dont get too exited they are now chucking the 'taylored' range at any joker, it will be standard with hte prem teams i expect http://www.footballshirtculture.com/10/11-kits/shamrock-rovers-2010-home-umbro-shirt.html http://www.footballshirtculture.com/10/11-kits/santa-fe-2010-umbro-home-shirt-preview.html
savage8 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 I requested somthing similar to the England track top they line up in before the games, very very smart, just a pity they are 60 odd quid. Would definitely buy one - very classy. I have the Nike Eugene top the French rugby team wear for the anthems, tres cool !
Ben-2000 Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why would we want 'tailored by England' or whatever its called. We should be unique and not have the same shirt template as god knows how many PL teams and countries. The Liverpool shirt might not be as good as some they've had in the past but at least it is there own!
MeanGreenMachine Posted April 8, 2010 Posted April 8, 2010 Why you dont think that template will be used by another 100 teams? Unless we make our own kits then they will always be to a set template.
Iceman Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 New shirts are going to be class The shirt might be classy, but if that big black box gets in there, then it will just spoil it again. I so want the away kit, to be a nice pink shirt.
alexanders Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Not to be pessimistic, but I don't like it. I dont know why everyone want red tops. Too Liverpool / United for my liking.
Cocker Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 My wish for a collar on the shirt waits for yet another year
super_arran Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 A little disappointed. It reminds me of the lonsdale HSA kit.... You never know tho, it might be a grower
rovers1995 Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Well I like it. Red and black look really well together and we should be able to play without a third kit
MeanGreenMachine Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Agree about the collar but i quite like it to be honest, think it will look better in long sleeve.
Exiled_Rover Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Well it's better than this year's disaster. Should still be halved though - that'd be a HUGE marketing tool in the right hands. Oh well.
unluckymorton Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Not to be pessimistic, but I don't like it. I dont know why everyone want red tops. Too Liverpool / United for my liking. It does look very Man Utd to me, I'm sure we'll get used to it though. I'm looking forward to seeing the new home kit. I hoping for (the obvious blue and white halves) red trim, white shorts with blue socks. I'm thinking the Crown logo in red like Perspex used to be.
super_arran Posted April 9, 2010 Posted April 9, 2010 Well it's better than this year's disaster. Should still be halved though - that'd be a HUGE marketing tool in the right hands. Oh well. Didn't this years "disaster" sell pretty well? So much so that they ran out of most sizes?
