That could happen, not the player he was but a bit of a name to keep Balaji happy, as long as he's not our only incoming striker then I'd be fine with it.

Warnock a target? There's something else for JAL to moan about

Luis Fabiano would be great, but can't see it happening. Less than four months since he signed for Sao Paulo too...

Don't want Warnock back, in what way is he versatile nicko? He can play left back as well as sit on the bench? :P

When can we expect a decision from Standard Liege/Witsel - you did say it was one (and only?) target the entire 'committee' agreed on.

Sao Paulo deny negotiations with Galatasaray for Luis Fabiano

Since the world cup Fabiano fell out with the Sevilla coach, was left out of the team and then sold. If he comes here, fit and ready, he could be far better than any of the other strikers mentioned this window. He IS world class. Would be an unbelievable signing if he comes here fully fit but i fear bigger teams may swoop. Hope this happens. Thanks Nicko!

Ha it's laughable to think Luis Fabiano would sign for us,without a doubt the best player we have been linked with but it's just not going to happen, doubt it's Kean that wants him anyway.oh yeah and what sort of wages would Fabiano want?surely more than Cisse.

These stats are very good. My problem is just Kean want him and will he fit into the manager way of play this season coming and does he want to come to Rovers tho. Wouldn't be surprise if Spurs came in for him and are Galatasaray not in for him.

222 appearances over 5.5 seasons given he left in Jan 2011 averages 40 games in total per season which is not bad considering the tackles he must have been taking to stop him.

i was just pointing out league appearances in which he only seemed to average in the low 20s, it just seems odd he must pick up a lot of niggly minor injuries,

Goalscorers of the best ilk cost money....do you think Fabiano would come here on less than £75k a week?? Never!

Depends how much he has been on. His club history does not suggest that he has hit the real big time wages wise - Rennes, Porto, Seville, Sao Paolo. It's very hard to say what would get him, and I guess a lot of it depends on who else out there would be interested.

Would be a good signing with a solid medical, and ticks the boxes in terms of profile and having a bit of quality.

I know when Sevilla had Kanoute and Fabiano they were one of the deadliest pairings. Ever.

He missed games due to Sevilla sometimes playing one up top so was rotated. He played more than he missed. (Scored more than he missed too)

Amazing player.

Would love it if we could bring him in to Rovers.

Hmmmm! Cant make my mind up about this one. Undoubtedly a huge talent, but also apparently a sick-note as well. He has been reported as hardly playing a game since his return to Brazil (possibly even NO games). I don't know the true facts so can only repeat what I have read, but we certainly need to tread very carefully here.

I know what you mean….ALL these links, just 2 bids so far….one for £2m for Keane and one for a loan for JJ….either we are being very sensible with our money and trying to get the best deals or we don’t want to spend very much! For now, il hope it’s the first one!!
