neophox Posted July 28, 2011 Posted July 28, 2011 What if Petrovic become as good as Vidic, I mean this guy is probably better as a defensive midfelder than P.Jones.

philipl Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 What if Petrovic become as good as Vidic, I mean this guy is probably better as a defensive midfelder than P.Jones. Better than Phil Jones even as a defensive midfielder... sorry that is impossible.
Miker Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Better than Phil Jones even as a defensive midfielder... sorry that is impossible. He sounds good, but majority of us haven't seen him play yet, so it's hard to make any sort of assessment. It's definitely a signing we should be happy with though, but we can judge more later.
philipl Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 The point I am making is that Phil Jones is the best young player in England.
MarkBRFC Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 The point I am making is that Phil Jones is the best young player in England. At centre half yes. Although he did an ok job, i was never really convinced of him as a central midfielder.
alexanders Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 He could play in Hong Kong with a work-permit for us, but it is really unlikely since he isnt our player. I know anyone can write anything on Wiki, but this is under Petrovic's wiki page: On 26 July it was revealed that Petrović had arrived in England to undertake a medical. However on 28 July Petrovic had a change of heart and opted to stay at Partizan. Anything in it or just blck?
philipl Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Yes cruz, enjoy your world of make believe. John Williams would have got the work permit by now so whatever the hold up is, it is something else.
chris Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Cryers last update: Still waiting on his passport. Looking increasingly unlikely
alexanders Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Cryers last update: Still waiting on his passport. Looking increasingly unlikely Which was IF im not very wrong. Mongongu.
G Somerset Rover Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Cryers last update: Still waiting on his passport. Looking increasingly unlikely Oh brilliant. So we get to the final stages again with a transfer (Pavone & now Petrovic) and it looks like going tits up. No doubt the line from the owners will be "well we tried guys" if come September 1st we've signed bugger all apart from Jerome's son. Can't get excited until you see someone being paraded on Rovers.co.uk these days.

Actually I misread his post, Petrovic should happen, they are waitng for permit now, had his medical. The passport realtes to mongu, sorry really hope the Petrovic signing goes through, dragging so much.

IF UNITED GET THE WORK PERMIT FOR ZORAN TOSIC, BUT WE DONT FOR PETROVIC WHO HAVE MORE MATCHES FOR THE NATIONAL IT IS A JOKE.
chaddyrovers Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Cryers last update: Still waiting on his passport. Looking increasingly unlikely That was Mongongu transfer. he needs a french passport at the minute. He has not played enough international games to get a work permit!!! Petrovic needs a work permit NOT a passport!!!!!!

Thanks for putting me on a downer for ten mins or so there Chris , bloody Twitter.
pick32 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 The point I am making is that Phil Jones is the best young player in England. two words Jack Wilshere
philipl Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 two words Jack Wilshere Lets see if you are posting that in six months' time. I doubt it.
alexanders Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 I would like to remind you that it took almost a week for Nikola Kalinic to get his work permit. Chillax! Cafe de Montenegro
imy9 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Lets see if you are posting that in six months' time. I doubt it. Seriously Phillip if you stop looking at Jones with the Blue and White tints, there is no question who is the better player, Wilshere is the same bloke who looked as good as Xavi and Iniesta in CL last season, I look forward to reminding you of your comment next season.
chaddyrovers Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Petrovic has agreed personal terms and NOW just waiting for a work permit to be sorted according to Kean! http://www.skysports...7066751,00.html

langhoblue Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 The point I am making is that Phil Jones is the best young player in England. As a Defensive Midfielder he wasn't even the best one at rovers last season.
Roverite28 Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Seriously Phillip if you stop looking at Jones with the Blue and White tints, there is no question who is the better player, Wilshere is the same bloke who looked as good as Xavi and Iniesta in CL last season, I look forward to reminding you of your comment next season. Talk about blue and white tints and you come out with that gem. Honestly that is one of the most laughable things ive seen on here and there have been plenty of those of late.
DavidMailsTightPerm Posted July 29, 2011 Posted July 29, 2011 Lets see if you are posting that in six months' time. I doubt it. Though I really rate Jones - I can't see him displacing Ferdinand and Vidic this season - and I doubt Fergie bought him as a defensive midfield player (though you never know). On the other hand Wiltshere is likely to become more important for Arsenal of Fabragas finally moves to Barca. Long term you may be right - but both players have a long way to go in their careers. Next six months - hmmm - think you might be worng with that one.

If he is then he is 100% correct, Wilshere was absolutely immense in that game.
