chris Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 The thing is though although well meaning it can be counter productive at times, I sing a lot at games but nothing winds me up more at a game than people getting up and having a go at others for not singing or telling other fans what to do, they paid their cash they can do as they please, singing just isn't for everyone. If I feel that way and I do sing I presume there will be people who aren't singing and people telling them to sing is just making them less likely to. Unfortunately we have a very divided fan base right now and it is causing a few ugly scenes, hopefully once Kean has gone it can be recovered Exactly, singning is defo not for everybody
RoyRover Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 If they give Kean a new contract now - considering everything they've said, and also what Kean has said - it would quite obviously be a gesture to the fans saying "this isn't your club, it's ours. If you don't like it, tough. We're in charge." Giving Kean a new contract now would, imo, be declaring war on any supporters who don't agree with them. This is what I've been saying for some time now. I believe that the owners come from a culture where they are not used to their decisions and actions being questioned. If you were bold enough to protest in India, it's such a corrupt country, that no doubt you'd be locked up and never seen again. These are extremely wealthy people, no matter what country they live in, but to be this rich in a country like India, where the divide between the haves and have nots is probably at its widest probably means that they have never been confronted like this before. They are the ruling class, they are used to having their way, used to the majority going along with what they say no matter what. Now the fans, who are the equivalent of the poor workers in India in this situation, have had enough and are letting them know exactly what they think, in a way that they are not accustomed to. And because they can't have them beaten or locked up like they could back home, they are reacting in the only way they can in this situation; by digging their heels in, saying "f you, we're in charge here, how dare you question us, we'll do what we want and in fact we'll do the very thing that would anger you the most." That's how I see it anyway.

Damien Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 You know on fm12 Steve Keans rating are good... I wonder who advised the producers about that... Also he is the Scotland head coach/manager and has a low opinion of me!
Mercer Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 No mate I didn't. went out for tea after the game then for a few beers with friends so thats why I not been on tonight. only when I got home at 7.30pm tonight I had a look on the site for a few minutes before meeting up with afew friends for few pints of Lager and good chat.great nite out! Hey Chaddy, only joking. Thought it was either a few beers or on the phone to uncle Claudio !!!
Roost Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 What exactly did SK do at the end of the game that has wound up so many people? I have watched football first but it doesn't show anything.

Do you see that photo a few posts up? That's what he did to the fans. One big "F YOU / WHO ARE YA? / WHAT YA GOT? / YOU CAN'T TOUCH ME" rolled up into one.
riverside returns Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 What he did was foolish at best and stupid or decidedly antagonistic. When there was only Robbo left on the field and he was heading to the fans to show his thanks for the support, Kean started to make a very grand gesture of the same, appearing to desire plaudits for his part. He should have just walked off quietly.
Roost Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Jesus Christ, the man must be mentally unstable
S60tti_BRFC Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 According to someone close to the club, the players was under instructions from Kean not to come over and applaud the fans, and he's considering taking action on Robbo for Ignoring his request and doing so... It did to me look like that after the game had finished that Kean was telling players to get off the pitch etc. IF it's true, then that is a disgrace!
roverandout Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 hardly a surprise because the man is a disgrace.
chaddyrovers Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Hey Chaddy, only joking. Thought it was either a few beers or on the phone to uncle Claudio !!! I know Mercerman. It did to me look like that after the game had finished that Kean was telling players to get off the pitch etc. IF it's true, then that is a disgrace! yeah it did look like that to me aswell!!! Kean has to be sack this week!!! totally out of his depth as manager! KEAN OUT!

If this is the case, then Robbo should come out and tell the press. Take a 2 week wage fine if necessary. Could be the final straw. That said, given Robbo and Kean's apparent shared association with SEM, I doubt any action would be taken.

If this is true, the senior players should have revolted and said no, we are going over to our fans. Kean could have done nothing, other than change his likely soiled trousers, as he would have been backed into a corner. Sometimes, players have to take the lead and if, as speculated by some on here, there are dissenting views of Kean amongst some senior players, the time is overdue, IMO, to bring this sorry state of affairs to a head.

Don't forget though, the players are still backing him. I do continue to wonder though. At what point do the players start saying "you know what, we keep listening to Kean and keep losing/scraping draws against poor teams"? You just know that the fans are getting the blame for everything that's going on, don't you.
chaddyrovers Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 will kean be sack this week??? I hope the owners yesterday realise that Kean is out of his depth and will sack him this week and hope to bring in a new manager in time for the Swansea game?
dunc Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 Is Robinson with SEM, the very same agency as Kean and our good friend Jerome Anderson? Puts an interesting angle on his snub of his boss to come over to the Rovers fans.
Amo Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 will kean be sack this week??? What do you think? Have the owners show any sign that Kean's position is under threat? He'll be here to the bitter end.
Backroom DE. It did to me look like that after the game had finished that Kean was telling players to get off the pitch etc. IF it's true, then that is a disgrace! I did wonder why he stormed onto the pitch yelling at the players - was he really telling them not to go over to the away fans? Disgraceful if true, you cannot have a manager and a team who are at war with their own fans. Without the fans there is no club - Steve Kean and any cowardly player that followed his instruction not to go over to the fans would do well to remember that. (obviously the above is assuming said scenario did happen)
booth Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I'd love him to try going over to the Blackburn End at home to Swansea and try that incitement crap. That said I'd love more for the imbecile not to be in charge by then.
S60tti_BRFC Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I think this video sums him up.... http://www.youtube.com/watch?feature=player_embedded&v=6JM5MVdjwlU

(obviously the above is assuming said scenario did happen) At Stoke next week the imposter will enter and leave from the corner right by where we will be. Four opportunities to give him dogs abuse irrespective of the result or how we are playing. I urge as many Rovers fans to get to Stoke on Saturday if only to give him the vitriol he deserves. Go down late for your half time pie and pint but please stay and give him some eyeballs out abuse. Even the moderates should be on their feet shouting at him. With the game being on Sky we won't get a better opportunity.
Majiball Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I was under the impression Robbie was no longer with SEM
martypellowe Posted November 20, 2011 Posted November 20, 2011 I actually thought Kean looked rather defiant, if anything... Looked to me as if he'd just said "#### ye" after the match. Despicable little man
