[Archived] Steve Kean's Future Set To Be Discussed

Recommended Posts

Paul Hunt, appointed by Desai, gave her a clear outline of the way the club was heading. She took no notice and he paid the price with his job. You are deluding yourself if you think that getting rid of Kean will solve all our problems. Our biggest problem is sitting in Pune and how we get rid of her is going to be the main issue with regard to improving the fortunes of the club.

although she did want to sell we're told. Its that big lump Balaji who vetoed that.

So, Balaji wants to keep the club AND wants Kean gone, yet Desai wants rid of the club and wants to keep Kean? And the buck always stops with Desai.

Read that back and see if it makes any sense.

None of it makes sense, If Mr's D has the final say on Kean why did she not have it when she wanted to sell the club?

Unless they ALL have to agree 100% to the idea in question. That's the only thing that makes sense here. But if they're all at loggerheads, this isn't going to work.

If Balaji wants it to be his plaything, then why isn't he the sole owner?

Nothing about Venky's and their mismangement of this football club makes any sense. Thus far they haven't got one decision right and give no indication of ever doing so. The bottom line is that they are never going to be accepted as owners because of the way they have behaved over the past eighteen months. If they weren't prepared to invest in the club when it was in the Premier League they are hardly likely to do so in the Championship.

She doesn't have the final say----there's the 4 of them (including her husband ) and all 4 have to agree. Any 1 of them could prevent Kean's sacking.

Crazy? Absolutely!

Do venkys not realise that if they had made a good fist of this it would have been wonderful exposure for their brand which is ultimately what they are in it for in the first place .

It's a good job they never opened any of there shops over here as they would prob be a pile of ash now

Im not sure it is right to physically stop people going in but there has to be a lot of worth in a picketing protest encouraging people to join outside rather than going in.

Illegal to physically stop - but like all picket lines, you can give a leaflet and encourage/ ask them NOT to cross the picket

Been out and about tonight and heard some very interesting speculation.

The most amusing tale was that, allegedly, Venky's at various parts of the day arrived at three different decisions - not quite sure what order, but sack, keep unchanged and then let's have a bit more of a think about it. Their indecision seems final !

This might account for all the different feedback that the ITK's claimed to be picking-up.

The person who told me this one could barely conceal either his amusement or contempt.

DIRECT QUOTES to prove he will NOT sign for the clown....it would do big damage to his chances ;)

You are deluding yourself if you think that getting rid of Kean will solve all our problems.

Not all - but there is no doubt he is a MASSIVE problem....he's like a wall that stops genuine info from getting to them..

Hence the need to get Junior to come out with quotes like I said above :!: ;)

Picket lines is not the right way to go, protest and leaflet fans with reasons for why they shouldnt go BUT we cant continue with an US and THEM situation with regards to fans. We need to unite and harrassing or slating those who choose to attend is not the way forward, it also would regalvanise the thoughts of the idiot press that protesting Rovers supporters are scum and serve to only have a negative effect on the club. Dont forget those that still will go to games will be those with young children, the elderly, people who dont want to be stopped doing something they love by some chicken farmers from Pune.

Has the 4 votes thing ever been mentioned anywhere else ? apart from the podcast ?

i been off line for a number of hrs and without having to trawl through the pages of this thread to get up to speed, can somebody please fill me in on the news. rumours, fact and whatever other bit of news i have missed. thanks

Youve not missed anything worth bothering about. Few newspaper articles about clinging to his job, with nothing concrete.

Nicko says Kean is staying. Kamy cryptically said he didnt know. That's about it!

Does anybody know what time Kean is due to arrive back in the UK?

LT says tomorrow, but I wouldn't be surprised if he took an extra day over there and came back Saturday.

Even then, he'll be off on a long vacation to Dubai with all his winning... I mean, WAGE from this season.

Surely we havent sunk that low ?

The biggest problem with the protests last season was Kean's ability to create a divide between the fans. He was constantly spouting ###### about the 1%. This led to fans turning on each other, Rovers Fans etc, likewise there were those who felt protests were leading to the downfall of the club (stats show otherwise). What needs to happen is the fans need to unify to first get Kean out followed by Agnew (even with Kean gone nobody will trust a word he says not good for a PR guy) then Venky's.
