Waggy76 Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I'd have him down as a possible starter, usually playing sometimes on the bench depending on form. Who would you play on the right wing? He's a decent player but today wasn't a great day for him. People seem to be deciding already that he's no good. On his day he can be, but people will forget that now. With Murphy off the pitch we need a villain. Anybody , his attitude is shocking , i will except I have only seen 3 games but he offers nothing.... Who players right wing for the reserves ? I hope his loan period is not extended...

RoyRover Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Another good three points. It sounds like we played a bit better than we have been. Is that the case? Good to see Rhodes bagging another goal. The sooner we can get a new manager in the better. Black has done well to stabilise the ship and its good to see us keeping clean sheets more consistently. But if we can get a new manager in, who has experience, hopefully he can get more out of the squad. Also, if we could agree a deal for Cameron Jerome on loan, I think he could be a good player to have up front with Rhodes. We haven't played well this season but find ourselves in 5th. If we find some playing form with a new manager in charge we could push on.
BigUts Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Today's performance: - mainly pedestrian. Need to up the tempo. - seemed comfortable although didn't boss everything - created little - CKR is an arrogant waste of space. Selfish and slowed down play too many times to try and run with the ball inside. Topped off by arrogant penalty situation - Rhodes is utter class in a little man shaped box - we need to improve...LOTS That is all.
braddock Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Anybody , his attitude is shocking , i will except I have only seen 3 games but he offers nothing.... Who players right wing for the reserves ? I hope his loan period is not extended... He's prone to a bit of selfishness (not as much as Rochina) and doesn't always challenge for the ball when it's in the air, which is frustrating, but he chips in with goals and assists and you can't question his commitment to the cause. Did you see how much the goal meant to him?

Frustrating at times but we deserved the victory and didn't really look like conceding, so that's something. Sorry, was he on the right wing today? I honestly couldn't tell, I can only recall Orr putting any crosses in off that flank. He does drift inside often but yes, he was. Apart from when he switched flanks with Pedersen. He whipped a few in.
G Somerset Rover Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 I said last week CKR has a massive attitude problem. After the Derby game he stormed off without so much as a clap for the travelling fans. The guys a billy big balls who batted above his average at Gala/Fener so thinks he should be our star man by divine right and without putting the yards in.

The guys a billy big balls who batted above his average at Gala/Fener so thinks he should be our star man by devine right and without putting the yards in. Correct. He's become my new pet hate. I tend not to really dislike players or 'hate' them, but CKR is pushing me very close!
Proudtobeblue&white Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 The Bond film is brilliant, finished at Vue Blackburn at 4.30 and went straight on the mobile to see 0-0, amazed Rhodes didn't take pen, delighted we won and still in there, but for all the above reasons we need a strong, I reiterate, strong, manager - not a SS/Venkys puppet up and coming no mark - reason why 3-4-9,000 people are not there, period!
super_arran Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 who ever gets the managers job needs to have a good look at jason lowe and ask what on earth does he bring to the team. he was static for 89 mins and when he finally made a run in the 90th minute he pulled a hamstring.also the few morons who boo danny murphy when he came on shame on you no rovers player should ever be booed. Were we watching the same game? Lowe doesn't run? He can be accused of not doing some things but running is definitely not one of them. Baffled
LDRover Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Agreed. I'm by no means his biggest fan but I thought he covered a lot of ground for the cause today. You certainly can't fault his attitude.
alexanders Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Heard he had a sick 50m run on weds as well.
dr who true blue Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Jason Lowe will never get cramp.who pulls a hammy in the 90th minuite.
super_arran Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Jason Lowe will never get cramp.who pulls a hammy in the 90th minuite. Can I ask; did you actually watch the game? Because if you did I find it amazing that you didn't see Lowe running about , tracking back, supporting Rochina when he runs out of space, making angles for the outlet balls from the back. Again; Baffled. P.s. I don't think there's a timeframe for a pulled hammy.

RoverRich Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Jason Lowe will never get cramp.who pulls a hammy in the 90th minuite. Over-exertion of fatigued muscles increases likelihood of injury, which is why I imagine Lowe pulled his hamstring so late into the game. It is naive to think hamstrings can only be pulled early on in games due to poor warming up/stretching, although I would admit that is a more common occurrence in football. It does sound like Lowe has been more promising since being moved into his natural position of centre midfield.
super_arran Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 well if you think lowe is a dynamic midfielder you can,t have seen many good midfieilders . So did you watch the game? He is a dynamic midfielder. I never said he was brilliant. But you did say he didn't run...
bob fleming Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Lowe did more running in this game than Richards will do in three seasons on today's showing. I'm with arran here, he's not a world beater but he puts a shift in and will only get better now played in his natural position. Harsh there for me Dr. As for CKR, I have no words.
david_daft Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 As for CKR, I have no words. Not like you, Bob. Hope this is resolved before the "October Review"
bob fleming Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Not like you, Bob. Hope this is resolved before the "October Review" Don't worry. He'll get a mention.
USABlue Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 But he is playing like he has never seen a football before, Pedersen, Andrews got booed for not playing as bad as Murphy. Not saying its ok to Boo any players/manager. But people think because Kean has gone so have our problems - how naive!! Kean was never the problem it was/is Venkys. Very poorly thought out statement, Kean was a huge part of the problem, we have inherited his team. While he is not 100% to blame to say he was not the problem is asinine in my book.
chris_h Posted October 27, 2012 Posted October 27, 2012 Strange how home grown players can sometimes cop so much grief from a section our support. Wilcox in the past (guilty ) and now Lowe. There has been some terrible stuff written and said about Dunny who is as true blue as any of us. Likewise, there is a particular poster who seems to actively hate Grant Hanley for some reason and another who instantly writes off any youngster who brakes into the first team. We've had a rough trot from the media just recently but some really don't help in ridding us of having a reputation as being bad sorts.
LeChuck Posted October 28, 2012 Posted October 28, 2012 Very poorly thought out statement hesfromburn has been posting rubbish all day. I can only assume he had a few at the game, he's made absolutely no sense at all.
