The more likely scenario is, Birmingham will sack Lee Clark and appoint Adkins, Clark going tol Blackpool.

But Kean applied, surely as a top manager he will get the job?

Rather have MA, definitely.

Harsh considering what Adkins has done at Scunthorpe and Sthampton. He is Mr Positive and that grates on me a bit.

Apple has done nothing of note, yet.

Two promotions in two seasons with a club that almost matched Rovers for off field incompetence and he is an over promoted kitman?

I saw something on Twitter about the Southampton situation and dismissed it as some kind of in joke.

I think we've set a trend for some recent craziness amongst mid sized clubs - Wolves, Forest, now this. I reckon Saints will rue this and a Championship or even Premiership club are going to be in the lucky position to be able to pick up a manager with impeccable credentials without having to embroil themselves in extracting him for his existing employers or forking out millions in compensation.

I doubt that we would have been serious contenders.

Think Adkins was Keaned from behind by Southampton, as that Argie bloke who took over said he's been 'researching' the squad for a few weeks. Why would he do that unless he more or less had the job a while ago?

I would have been pleased with Adkins either this time, or instead of Berg.

i,ve been away for a few days followed the presser on twitter via onerovers Only for Paul Agnews name too be mentioned 1st as the person introducing MA, Why are venkys paying a fortune to this new pr company and still keeping this 1st class scumbag around that's only going to undo any good work from the new company?(i thought he'd been put in his place along with shebby, seems not!!!) and that's knocked the whole present situation down a few pegs along with MA's reasonably honest but quite uninspiring answers. I've been one of the most optimistic of MA but every 1 of his comments just sounded exactly like what Steve Kean would have said, So i guess only time will tell if MA has what it takes to put his words into action and be a relative success.

How does a manager request and get the appointment of a new PR company (from new Fans forum minutes)? Despite viewing whatever is available on line regarding the press conference , appointment etc and trying to give this appointment the benefit of the doubt, there is something slightly Keanesque about this whole thing.

I'm certainly not convinced of the non involvement of a certain 3rd party in the appointment despite what it said in interviews. Going to be an interesting transfer window and remainder of the season

Exactly, Shaw says that Appleton's CV got sent straight to Pune.

There is a middle man involved, despite Appleton denying this at the press conference.

So then Appleton told one huge lie in his first press conference. That would really bode well and if true says exactly what we have here

I'm prepared to give Appleton a chance (as with all new managers we have had), its really up to him and the team to give us something to believe in now.

I guess the majority of people are tired of the whole "get behind the team, get behind the manager" stuff that goes on and need the team and the management to keep their part of the deal...

That's actually very odd. When posters in the past have asked for their accounts to be removed, I'm sure they were told it wasn't possible. Maybe it's a feature of the new software.
