Mike Graham Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Rooney is as effective as a wet fart since he came on tonight. I might have a flutter on Croatia.

Moderation Lead K-Hod Posted June 20, 2016 Moderation Lead Posted June 20, 2016 I thought it was a terrible result at the time.So did I! I was just meaning in the context of the group.
Audax Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Croatia, hope they can do Espanya, just get in the final 16. They'll be there.
Stuart Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Someone tell me Hodgson got it spot on tonight. I dare ya! Coleman got it spot on. Ultimately done by a lucky England goal. Same old same old.
joey_big_nose Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Complete control but no goals. Have to say this game, like Russia, had Andy Carroll written all over it. Main positive was Dier. He was outstanding.
Husky Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Henderson was awful. He'd do well to get in Rovers team.
Blue blood Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Same story, England totally dominant but cant score. The thinking before the tournament was that we would struggle defensively but finishing seems more of a worry. Should have scored at least 2 tonight from great chances. We're not excellent defensively either. We crumbled under minimal pressure from Russia, let in a poor goal vs Wales and Smalling almost gave away a right clanger tonight. Let's be honest that was the worst group in euro history and we couldn't score vs 2 of the weakest teams and edged past Wales who've limited quality too. In with a chance? You must be joking.
A cup of beans Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Think we'dve beat them with Walker, Rose and Rooney, Ali playing from the start.
chaddyrovers Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I felt that after 60 mins our full backs didnt attack enough. Tempo dropped. Too slow in possesion last 30 mins.
Mike Graham Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Chris Brown would have been better than Vardy tonight.
philipl Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 If the squad has a rhythm and pace running through it so replacements slip into a well oiled system, the manager can faff about with half a dozen changes. But England don't have the luxury. An entirely predictable pedestrian performance. Meanwhile Wales and Bale march on...
Stuart Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Too many changes from Woy. He needs to decide his best team for the next game.
Mike Graham Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Woy Woy Woy Wubbish Wubbish Wubbish Wonk Wonk Wonk
Stuart Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 We don't play now until next Monday. Wales get the prime Saturday match against easier opponents.
Proudtobeblue&white Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 We are through, beat the next team. Simples?
arbitro Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Gareth Bale scored as many goals as England in this poor group. Everything was too narrow for England and I can't recall one occasion when we got in behind them.
frosty Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 2 draws and a last minute winner in this group is a poor effort. And Slovakia's and especially Wales' results against Russia just shows how bad it was that England didn't beat them.
joey_big_nose Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 We don't play now until next Monday. Wales get the prime Saturday match against easier opponents.Bloody hell a week till the next game!! Why are we resting players. Insane.
BlueMonday Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Tough game. Not much you can do when the opposition sit back like that. Hardy not as effective when its as tight as that. Thought Sturridge was our more likely player to unpick the lock, but wasn't to be. It would be harsh to criticise England. Supporters were immense
chaddyrovers Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Lets not forget Slovakia didnt want to football and just happy defend all game Bilic is so passionate and I like the We comment. Hes a huge fan of English football
joey_big_nose Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 Gareth Bale scored as many goals as England in this poor group. Everything was too narrow for England and I can't recall one occasion when we got in behind them.We got in behind them at least 4 times. Vardys early chance, Clyne on the overlap twice, Diers sublime ball for Sturridge over the top.Vardy and Sturridge should have scored.
Blue Cabbage Posted June 20, 2016 Posted June 20, 2016 I do think we'll click very soon and batter someone, but we're so frustrating to watch
