Their forum must've been invaded by the same clowns who pitched up here last summer then quickly did one. Wherever a tosser like Coyle goes or might go he has the whole PR arm of the 'never heard of' agency pitching for him, just like Kean. Either that or Owen Jnr & his pals !!!  Where's the poster on here who was his mate ?  or was it just Saxo again :P

Anyway there was a far less favourable reaction to his name on the newspaper twitter feed who actually had the gall to try and portray he 'quit' Blackburn Rovers !

His 'team' are in overdrive at the moment. First they got him the job on Sky Sports delivering his 'expert' analysis of the new season and then within a matter of days the Scottish press and now English media are putting it about that he's in the running for the Hearts job.

No evidence whatsoever he's even under consideration for the job, just that a mate of his in the Scottish press has put it about he's applied and all of a sudden he's one of the favourites.

The benefits of having friends in influential places. Re-writing history like claiming he quit Rovers when he was very much fired, like in his last 4 jobs. Next news is we'll have Jim White running a radio show talking about how poor Owen never had a chance at Blackburn with those wicked supporters and clueless owners.

Its not what you know but who you know. Coyle's made himself a millionaire on the back of one good season at Burnley and having friends in the right places and has hoodwinked Bolton, Wigan and Rovers into employing him since. Same well oiled PR machine that sits behind Steve Kean.

Certain agents and their people are like the Simon Cowell & co of the football world they can create situations on big platforms that make the biggest foul smelling turds seem like the finest ice cream available.

It's a complete con industry and the worse thing is the outright crap of the Scottish Sun 'Coyle quit Blackburn' the agents even managed to cover his Ewood exit in a myth to protect his already tattered reputation.  Struggling Houston couldn't wait to get rid but he only left there for family reasons, yeah right.

Would be a fairly popular appointment looking at their forum

'Plays attacking football'

'Club needs his energy and enthusiasm'

'His record stands up to anybody else'

Obviously the stand out candidate then!

To be fair, I've just looked back at the first few pages of this thread and, while most rightly recognised it was a disgraceful appointment, there were a few (more than I remembered at the time) who were bigging up his past 'achievements' and willing to give him a chance.

It was obvious to pretty much everyone that it would turn out to be a disaster.

For me, his appointment was the final straw.....another one!

I can't see him getting another job, period.

Bigger clubs (of whatever league) will look at proven success and that's been far from the case for Clueless for a long time now. 1 success and 4 failures does not a good record make. He won't have enough success/lack of risk for them to chose him.

Smaller clubs will look at how he did in limited circumstances - his only mitigating circumstance, which is not an excuse for both Rovers and Houston -and see how he cannot cut it with limited resources. His less than limited resources but still spectacular botches at Bolton and Wigan will also discourage them, and they too won't see what they are looking for.

All in all, the guy won't get a job again.

That's gold! Feel for them. Read Paulo Sergio has applied so him or Coyle I can see being favourites

What a surprise they are in for once coyle sandy and other clowns roll into town.

Then the excuses will start after a number of games that ref shafted them out of two penos and 3 goals.
