Forever Blue Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago That’s come as quite a shock. Ungrateful sod. He’d be playing for Brig if it wasn’t for Rovers. 1 Quote

He hasnt signed for someone. 2 weeks after officially leaving here he is without a club and training on his own. Wonder why he hasn't got a club yet Quote

Next thing you know, we'll be treated to pictures of Tyrhis 'training alone on the beach'.. Shameful, on the part of the faceless bastards behind the scenes at Rovers. Quote

Both of them had that little trick that got them that yard of space. Once they’d got that the ball went. They didn’t try to make a meal of it like Dolan does from time to time. My dad played in a charity friendly of some sort in the late 90s, I think it was something to do with the PFA as I remember him saying Gordon Taylor was involved. Dad is about 10 years older than Robertson but could outrun him easily. ’The problem I had was that Robertson slowed you down to his level so you couldn’t actually run anywhere, almost froze you to the spot. Then he’d suddenly grab a yard past you and put a ball in with either foot. And that ball ALWAYS went to his striker, made you feel a right mug being beaten by a guy who couldn’t tackle a good fish supper, but what magical feet.’ My dad also regarded Robertson as the best player in Europe for a good 4/5years when Clough and Taylor were at Forest. There are some time thieving ways of wasting one's time on earth, and Instagram is one such abomination. I'd rather drill my eyes out with a blunt speculum. 3 Quote

That’s what Kargbo needs to learn. Always try and stop your opponent, then you’ve got him where you want him. 1 Quote

roverblue Posted 6 hours ago Posted 6 hours ago I would have thought Dolan would keep his options open at least until he finds a new club. Seems odd to close his rovers career out before he has found anything better. Quote

'We've got a little fat guy who'll turn him inside out'. Classic Cloughie quote in reference to Robertson. 2 Quote
OnionBalaji Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago Just read the Lancashire Telegraph comments on the Dolan article and it has absolutely blown my mind how fast people turn on a player without seeing the wood for the trees on this one. its not that the player is greedy, or has an enormous ego - purely it’s because we as a club haven’t made a suitable offer and likely absolutely low balled him no wonder venkys are still here, still pulling the same shit and getting away with it 9 Quote

bigbrandjohn Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago Way too much ink on this one. Always feels he is better than us. Let him try. In fairness he is probably being talked up by his advisors. His best home is Derby where Eustace can put an arm around him and he will feel at home. Just needs to remember to change his shirt. Quote
roversfan99 Posted 3 hours ago Posted 3 hours ago I suspect he very much is better than whatever we have offered him. Quote

Most of the very same fans then revert to moaning about the owners, running of the club and next inevitable cock up when it comes along. They just copy the tried and tested formula govts use for social conditioning in this era and it gets hook line and sinker results. Edited 2 hours ago by Tomphil2 1 Quote
Tomphil2 Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Maybe not so with Dolan but you'd think most with a balanced thought process would understand the situation Brittain is in, might not agree with his actions but understand why. Then again...... Quote
StHelensRover Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I hope Dolan finds something soon and moves on with his career and does as well as he can. I'm not convinced his ceiling is much higher than our current level, but would be happy to be proved wrong. I don't hold any grudge against him, he never developed as much as I hoped he would at Ewood, but he always worked his arse off every time he played. He may not be worth as much in wages as he thinks he is, but that's probably true of most footballers, you have to back yourself and show ambition. I don't know how much we've offered him but I wouldn't be surprised if our offer was beyond the pale and insulting. I think there's a reason so many players are letting their contract run down here or desperately being linked elsewhere in the media via their agents. It's probably somewhere between us being complete cheapskates and an absolute circus with no ambition. Understandable 1 Quote
