any more news on Waggott's replacement and how close are we to appointment?

I assume that they are trying to negotiate for someone who doesn't mind being controlled by an unseen hand.  My money is on this guy

Mr. Punch - a marionette of a famous figure of British literature carved from linden wood

Although he does have some stiff competition

I always assumed it was at the end of his notice period.  I guess at his level he was on 6 months notice rather than 3.

We shouldn’t have to guess, they should have been clearer.

Which of course would make sense

But if that is the case, then they should have said when.

And also, if he wasn't working his notice period, then who would be performing his role whilst he is on gardening leave

As ever, communication & clarity from the club is 4th rate at best

Just a ridiculous football club, it really is beyond laughable.

So whatever Waggott was doing in return for his hefty salary he hasn't been doing since May, someone else down there has been picking up the slack, we haven't replaced him with any senior management appointment, yet he continues on the payroll for up to a year afterwards and remains appointed as a Club director at Companies House today (one of four directors, the others being Coar, Babu and Rao.

In other news at least they've got around to removing David Lowe from the coaching staff website. They haven't had the decency to communicate his departure or to wish him well for the future but have at least updated the 'who's who' section of the website.

I wonder if the most powerful man at the Club knows he's gone yet?

There has to be some underlying "well fk the fans for calling us all names and protesting and this that n the other" there has to be a grudge of some sort surely

It probably wasn't helped by some of our moronic fans chanting about killing him regularly at home games. I'm sure no one was seriously intending to do him any physical harm, but it's just a really brainless thing to sing anyway, for several reasons.

He was probably able to say "I think I should step back due to threats to my safety and wellbeing". Resulting in him getting a year's salary on gardening leave.

Sickening, the man may even be on full pay!

For a Club who's skint, we do like throwing what money we do have away dont we?

How much money are we incinerating on Waggott and Baradji this season I wonder. That was shortly after Waggott bringing Dennis in on loan.

Another indirect cost that the bean counters have included, no place for positive spend to the betterment of the playing squad.

As expected.

But they won't cut ST prices to boost the most important element of a football club, crowds.

Suhail was crying over the leccy bill going up and they've unsubscribed Sky sports from the official club bar.

But ...there you go Steve you get yourself off home and we'll pay you for 18 months to keep your trap shut !

From what I have been told, and I fully trust the person who told me this, the final straw for Saint Steven was the decision to relegate the Women's team.

So even for an odious parasite like him, that was a bridge too far.

Still, best keep him on the payroll for another 18 months just in case.

I do remember reading (from somewhere) that Waggott was planning on retiring either last summer, or next summer.

Sitting on his substantial arse, on full pay, for the final 12 months of his working life sounds infinitely more appealing than working with this current set of charlatans overseeing our club.

If it was his decision to leave, it seems odd that we'd pay him for another 12 months - even by our standards.

Has the club actually answered the question, will there be a replacement CEO? Or we can’t appoint one while still have SW on payroll?

Looks like Gestede is running the football side for now.

It cant have been. There was a power struggle between one idiot and an evil and incompetent bell end far, far more destructive than him, and the latter clearly won.

I read this somewhere else too, wouldn’t be surprised if this is what happened - it did seem a sudden exit.

Agree with the first bit. It's just that some people are trying to make out St. Steven walked of his own volition due to what happened with the ladies team.

The second part, you make him sound like a well meaning and innocent bystander in everything that's happened since he's been at the Club.

They're as bad as each other.
