Just watched Leonard's post-match interview. I love it when he says "I always know how to make that little run off the centre-half". He came across much-like Adam Wharton to me in his interview. A bit of confidence and swagger. Hopefully this lad can continue to produce.

Retweeted by Leonard. Wasn't aware we'd offered a new contract, makes the sale more understandable given he didn't sign it. Also indicates we're low-balling offers.

Given Peterborough presumably offered more with theirs, no.

He was under contract till 2027 anyway, so there was no need to sell and leave us with no strikers. 

Also read this from the Lancashire Telegraph, and then ask yourself if it sounds like we were desperate to keep him and offering him a new contract.

My feeling at the time was his going allowed us to bring Gudjohnsen in.

Should have been loaned out and he could be back playing for us now. The club is run by total amateurs who shouldn't be a charge of a car wash.

Genuine question: Is Gudjohnsen any better? Im not sure he is. Id definitely prefer it if we had both at the Club.

Definitely better for me, yes. As shown by him scoring similar goal numbers in a higher league.

Difficult to assess that until they've both had an extended run at the same level.

Personally Id say Leonard's movement is better than Gudjohnssen's but the latter is more clinical in front of goal. Although Leonard may be improving in that respect.

I don't think his movement is better at all. I think the only thing he has over Gudjohnsen (based on the Leonard of last season, absolutely he may be improving) is workrate.

Going back to the chance missed by Doherty yesterday, I remember Leonard missing several of those in a fairly short space of time, either got caught or dragged his shot wide.

Otherwise as good a line up and bench as possible in the circumstances with 8 unavailable.
