Why would they stop it when they've just approved it?

They didn't want to.

Plus the PL is the biggest league in the world and the richest aswell. They go to different countries in pre season and have fan fares in USA

Just look at TV deals for PL coverage compare to other leagues.

Sky and TNT paid £6.7bn for domestic rights. International TV rights is similar amount. The PL is a global brand when has other top leagues aren't. https://www.premierleague.com/en/media/broadcasters

You would be very naive if you think that the Premier League's attitude would be that they already generate enough money. Greed will take over.

Other leagues are setting a precedent and global fans will no longer be satisfied with second strings playing friendlies. Eventually English games will be played abroad. Its a depressing likelihood. The only question is when.

If they didn't want to then they wouldn't have done it.

They still allowed it though.

Your last sentence proves the point that there is the appetite for a match to be played abroad.

It will happen, it’s just a matter of time.

With half the clubs owned by Americans and their wholly unromantic view of clubs as US sport franchise-style revenue generators it’s only a matter of time.

In years to come it will reach 11.

May as well do it now.

Personally I think the game is shit and boring with more than 3 substitutions. 'Competitive' games now are essentially just glorified friendlies.

The Forest owner caused this madness by sacking Nuno. Ange wasnt the right fit for this squad. They need a counter attacking coach now. That's what their squad set up for

8 games lol

20 minutes after full time, imagine the owner and his head of HR was waiting in the tunnel

Monumentally stupid decision to hire him in the first place, with a predictable outcome. One assumes that will be that for Ange in England.

I agree. It was an utterly bonkers decision to hire Postecoglou in the first place as I noted last week. I watched the last 20 minutes of their game today and it was blatantly obvious that he knew his time was up once the final whistle went.

The only credit I'll give the Forest owner is that he cut bait quickly.

Dyche or Mancini are apparent front runners.

Apparently it was the Forest owner decision to hire Postecoglou.

They need to hire a head coach who suits that squad. Counter attacking head coach. Not sure Mancini is the right fit for Forest.

Burnley are winning the kind of games they need to have a reasonable chance of survival. Think their 2 wins came against promoted sides at home.

8 games in and all 3 promoted clubs currently outside the bottom 3 although of the bottom 3 you’d think that there is quality in there to turn it around perhaps. 2 of them with new managers in place as well (or soon to be)

Liverpool gone from doing that thing champions do and winning when it looks unlikely to suddenly being unable to pull out a result - which is nice.

I said to a Liverpool supporting friend earlier in the season that if I was one of their supporters I'd be worried that they keep having to rely on luck to win, and that if they couldn't address their problems then sooner or later things would turn in the other direction. Fair to say they didn't address their problems and this is the end result.

Man United now two points off the top four, lol.

Four games ago it theoretically looked like all was well for Liverpool but in reality they were only a hairs breadth off making an absolutely abysmal start. Saved by all those injury time goals but  now the performances are catching up with them.

Caught a bit of today's game and I dont think I've ever seen anything quite like Salah's performance. Never seen such an abject display from such a good player. Not sure what's up with him but if I was Slot I wouldnt be letting him anywhere near the squad until he gets his head in the right place.

Credit to Slot, all the subs made a difference when they came on.

Salah seems a shadow of his former self though, Isak and Wirtz haven’t really gotten going yet and I don’t think Slot rates Chiesa enough to start him.

Van Dijk was poor today I thought.

United, to their credit played well.

I get the feeling both Salah's and Van Dykes legs are gone. Sarah can't move into a centre forward role like Robaldo did, plus Liverpool have a queue for that position.

That could be a very expensive contract they shelled out for a last 15mins substitute.

I'm not sure he deserves that much credit, it reminded me a bit of our managers over the years just chucking players on randomly and hoping for the best.

Difference is Slot has hundreds of millions of pounds of talent on the bench so you'd expect at least one or two of them to make an impact.

United deserved to win that and first time under Amorim they have won back to back league game.

Liverpool new signings haven't hit the ground yet apart from Hugo Ekitike. Salah doesn't look the same player. They needed centre back signing in summer didnt get one.

Liverpool midfield is too offensive. Last year they had a balance but Gravenberch has been given too much licence to get forward where as last season he was an absolute beast at holding.

Salah is a passenger. To be honest he was a passenger for 85 mins a game last season but there would be a 5 minute spell where he'd turn it on and get a goal.

Wirtz hasn't hit the ground running and has been a passenger.

Isak is only now fit enough to play a full game having missed pre season but I'd be miffed if I was Ekitike and playing second fiddle.

Chiesa is under rated

Their left back isn't setting the world alight. Kept not overlapping today. I'd give Robertson a stint. New signings are struggling to bed in - get Robertson (the vice captain) on the pitch.

In short, too many passengers and things just not clicking.
