He definitely does have something about him. The main concern is not him as a player but the imbalance across the front line. He thrived last night as a number 10, he is slow but technically really gifted and he struggles to have that same influence from out wide, even drifting in. Problem is fitting him and Szmodics into the same side when they both play in the same position.

I think he was always signed as a rotational player for the #10 role, which is why they were trying to bring in a RW on deadline day.

Needs must tho and we have to adapt - plenty of game time available for him if he can adjust to playing out wide.

I think he’ll be a big player for us this season.

Has been a bit lightweight and wasteful in periods of his league appearances, but that has been mixed with genuine quality.

Once he’s fully integrated, he and Sigurdsson are going to be massive for us this season.

Guess you have to give credit to the club for persuading both to come. There were clearly many other options for them.

Going off yesterdays showing he'd be a better #10 than szmodics, just edges him on technical ability, szmodics wouldnt be wasted as a wide forward imo. Can siggy play cf?

Ultimately the uncompetitive budget cuts have left us with an incomplete squad, undoubtedly.

Problem is, Moran would have been a step up from Hedges and is from the likes of Markanday, so you have to try and fit him in. But he lacks the pace to play from a wide role, he is clearly a natural central player.

Szmodics is too important in terms of goals to be jumping into moving him.

Well if Moran is better than them in that role, he'll break into the team there. Whether he is slow or not will be irrelevant if he's a better option there.

If he isn't, he will be invaluable cover and rotation for Szmodics, who is very important to us right now and is bound to get injured and/or fatigued if we flog him playing every match.

Of course, and he might well prove to be more effective even in a less natural position than the alternatives. But we could have done with a natural winger we went for as well as him and would have done had it not been for the budget slashing.

But he is clearly better suited central, so it might be a case of trying to work with an imbalance in the side to get them both in rather than opt for someone not as good.

Hes obviously a real quality player. Think he could end up being as good for us as Harvey Elliott was.

Elliott got 7 goals and 11 assists. Moran already has 2 goals and 3 assists, and could have had several more by being slightly quicker on the finish.

Signs are that Sigurdsson, Szmodics and Moran will be an excellent set of attacking mids at this level. Still think Hedges is pretty handy also. Markanday I cant quite figure out how he'll turn out.
