Many clubs have fallen by the wayside because their owners simply stop their financial obligations. Bolton. Wigan. Sheff Wed. Oldham. I'm sure there are other examples.

If the Venky's left, I think the fan base would be united again, but it really depends on who the new owners are. If it happens, it happens, and we all go for the ride. But I would wager the next owners will have nowhere near the financial clout that the current owners have. 🤷‍♂️

But what is the point of financial clout if you don’t use it wisely?

I think it's really hard to discuss on the other forum because whenever I've asked a question it's been avoided.

Everyone on there is saying why don't I go find an owner to buy Rovers?

Like come on, I don't think there's an understanding on workings at Rovers and myself not involved in football finding a buyer.

I'd say they're way way more offensive there than on here.

Drog personally attacked me when I wasn't being personal.

Wouldn't bother over there pal. Looks like a school IT project that forum

That Thomas Freddie is doing my nut in on Facebook, not normally one to engage with the nonsense but after another demoralising defeat today I've bitten. Anyone know what his game is?!

Wouldn’t give the guy the time of day. Genuinely think his end game could be a job at Rovers 😂

4 businesses all gone under. He was the creator of FC Rovers. Topping it all off, he’s a recruitment consultant. Or as the rest of the professional world knows them - a reptile 🐍

Hiring the work experience tea boy to run the entire football side of the club seems like a misstep - but I'm not a billionaire, so maybe I'm wrong.

I genuinely think he believes he's the only Rovers fan to work in the corporate sector and all the lowly blue collar workers should bow to his knowledge. He gets right under my skin but as you say its best not to give him the time of day.

From what I’ve read on this messageboard, he appears both arrogant and incompetent.

Makes sense he can identify with the Venkys.

Don’t feed the troll, mate.

He’s only another successful diagnosis of small man syndrome, not worth it.

@JHRover was spot on with his analysis a few pages back.

There’s a subset of supporters who see themselves as the old guard, holding court and gatekeeping expectations of the post-Walker era. Not only does this give their revisionism a sense of authority, it also functions as a coping mechanism to make the current decline easier to swallow.

Being a qualifying member of the old guard I have trouble understanding that position. I want to see my team trying to win games not add value by increasing minutes on the pitch.

Full flat line is setting in. What a  shit time to be a Rovers fan.

As I sat watching some premier league highlights this morning whilst having my breakfast, I saw Man Utd beating their local rivals, West Ham and Leeds bagging last minute winners, Sunderland coming from behind to win and i thought, what must it be like to support a normal club?

When was the last time we had feelings from games like those fans had yesterday?

We don't hate Venkys enough.

It's just become this numb abyss, that is unexplainable.

Personally have no pride left talking to other football fan's of other teams. I cant and dont want to join in with football talk anymore because ive nothing to contribute. It's an awful feeling. I feel bad for those like Swindon, Wimbledon imagine ending up like those fkin hell.  It really would be game over and let's get on with our lives

I was just about to post something similar.

When non-Rovers fans now come to speak to me at work or wherever, ‘poor result at the weekend’ etc, I just cannot summon the enthusiasm to even discuss it - whereas even a year ago I’d be ranting away.

There's literally nothing to chirp back with is there. I've really burnt out the line "but we won the prem"

I can't use that anymore.

I don’t think there’s a sell by date on that one.
