I can’t stand all this negativity. I believe we are privileged to be Blackburn Rovers. How many people have seen their team win the title, apart from those who support a big city club? Okay, the owners are not perfect, but we could have much worse. Look at Sheffield Wednesday. Rudy, Val the boys are trying to build something new. So let’s show some back bone and support our team. You did when they were winning the title, and now the club needs us more than ever. Blackburn expects that everyone will do their duty and attend.

How about this one?!!!!!!!

I would hazard a guess that this is not a regular contributor.

Did his carer make a comment. Lots of people have seen their team win the title, it was contested before the premier league was formed

I know I said I wouldn't comment yesterday but feel very strongly that this need pointing.

We are all Rovers fans and we all have our positions on the range of the issues. I will say this, no-one SHOULD be slamming or calling anyone they are Venkys side cos they want to still attend games and back the players and the team.

Just to be very clear and straight, I will be attending games and backing the players and the team. I want to win games and I want to support my club and I don't want to go down to League 1. That's my choice and if others are doing the same, then they SHOULDN'T BE slagged off and moaned at for doing so. This is a personal choice. Now if people want to not attend games and have NAPM stance then that's is their personal choice equally they shouldn't be moaned at either.

I could see Venkys appointing a new CEO prompt and taking Pasha out of the firing line for abit

For the greater good Chaddy, wake up and smell the coffee, they are driving us into oblivion ! I can understand you attending, I’m been a ST holder for over 40 years and it will hurt me to miss but at the very least, can’t you just support the Watford boycott.

I get that some people dont want to miss a game. Its a shame I think that we couldnt just have 1 game where literally no one goes but its never gonna happen.

But equally, I am not sure how constructive it is to just say that you wont be told what to do, or stuff about backing the team etc.

So @M_B and @chaddyrovers the question to you both is not whether you are boycotting or not, we know you arent as its been repeated. I think it would make a pretty boring thread if we just all said what we are doing individually.

What are your feelings on the protest movement? Are you both desperate for Venkys to go? Do you think its a good idea to try and start a not a penny more movement both to starve the owners of money and to raise publicity, or if not, why not? Do you see it making a difference?

Id like to know your opinions beyond just telling us what you are doing personally, often in a way that comes across as purposefully provocative.

If that's how you see it, you crack on. I knew you'd be one of the first up on that moral high ground.

By the way, it isn't called boycotting if you weren't going in the first place.

It's just called not going.

Bit negative aren't you? How would you resolve the mess Rovers are in?

Good comedy value surely?

This is a personal choice Penwortham Blue and I have made my choice and I won't be changing. I will be supporting the players and the team home and away including the Watford home game.

support the Watford Boycott? if you don't want to attend the game and boycott it that is your choice.

Fair enough Chaddy, we all know your personal choice ! My only comment is that your personal choice does absolutely nothing to support the efforts of the many, to save our club.

Certainly making traction local and national news.

Interviews with Coalition members on Radio Lancs and Rock FM.

Various papers and websites run with it.

Been on tv on BBC

And of course picked up by SKY too.

We have to push push push now, ignore the background noise.

We've also had confirmation the letter has been read by the Raos, as it arrived through various channels.

They've no excuses, no hiding , the time to talk is gone, SELL THE CLUB

I don't suppose he was nice enough to give you a response?

Boycotting and not wanting to attend are not the same thing.

A point very well made, Wilsden. I want to attend but I will boycott in an effort to save our club and end 15 years of desecration of Blackburn Rovers.

I can’t believe I purchased a ST with my hard earned money and I ain’t the only one who’s done that. I just don’t know what to do, go to games so that my money doesn’t go to “waste” or boycott like everyone else (including non ST holders). Tough spot but if it’s for the future of this club, I’ll happily not go. 100% not renewing my ST next season. Until these clowns get out of our club, I will not renew my ST.

My brother has worked in India for decades, he said years ago there's no way will they be forced into anything, in fact quite the opposite, protesting is more likely to make them dig their heels in.

Protesting won't make them sell,it certainly hasn't had any effect up to now despite the thousands staying away.

I'm not going to criticise those who stay away, but I'll certainly be taking my place at home games. The Venkys will sell up when they're ready and not before.

So you don't believe that a considerable reduction in gate revenue would make any difference?

Imo, not hitting their targets in terms of ST revenue and matchday revenue is the only thing that gets them twitchy.

They were really rattled by not hitting ST revenue targets down Ewood so the idea that they're not bothered about the lack of income is false because they clearly are.

don`t know why the coalition are asking us all to boycott,it`s already began has`nt it???

you will never get a complete boycott, there are many people who go for the social outing and the saturday (or whatever day) ritual, imo you need to get at pasha and gestede with a bit of matchday disobediance.i.e everyone gather in the concourses and don`t go into the stand

On the NAPM stance, that's a personal choice and each person will decide what they want to do. I will my own decisions on that. I respect people making their own decisions on attending games or not. Its not easy choice but it's a personal one

I dont think much will change personally with owners over this stance/letter from the coalition. Venkys have shown they are very stubborn people and dont like being told what to do. I dont see that. I can see them appointing a CEO very soon with Pasha staying in India. That wouldn't surprise me

How much is being the reduction given people have ST and most walk.ons will have already purchase their tickets for Saturday game?

You keep telling us why various  things won't work in your opinion, but you're not coming up with any alternative suggestions of your own to improve things - just pouring cold water on everything.

I feel you're being obstinate for the sake of it there.

Obviously, a massive boycott by ST holders won't affect income levels for THIS season but a regular 5k home fans attending for the remainder would surely raise eyebrows in India at the very least.

And if the boycott continued into next season come renewal time then that's the time it would really bite and possibly force their hand.

Nobody knows if this will work until it has been tried.

Unless you are willing to join in and give it a go to see if this will be effective then your opinion on the matter is invalid.
