I don't believe for a second that the owners even know that we have a women's football team, never mind making a decision on whether to fund it.

Look closer in the direction of those who may have a vested interest in reducing costs.
Possibly benefitting by way of annual revenue targets / personal 'performance' bonuses.
Think large sums straight into their pension pots, for a competely random example.

Just incase any club spies are in here.

Look how much these fellas talk bout our owner 30 years on.

30 years on. I'd be lucky if I'm remembered in 10 when I go to heaven.

Women's team story is gaining traction, has articles in NYT and Athletic so will definitely be putting a spotlight on the ownership and their unwillingness to invest in the club despite being billionaires.

There was something floating around a while back that Mrs D insisted Rovers have a women's team.

Mind you she probably thought it wouldn't cost anything and would pull in 12k crowds at Ewood !

End of the day any one of them could stump up a few grand out of their own pockets for this if they deemed it important. A women's team at a club like Rovers was never ever making commercial sense let alone paying for itself so it would always need some funding to prosper.

Kieran Maguire. Football Finance "expert"

“I wouldn’t say Blackburn have monetary problems, the Venky’s have been benevolent owners, but they have other priorities and I think the level of financial support at Blackburn is something they are scrutinising very carefully at present.”

Is he living in the real world?

Yeah he's a massive prick, unfortunately.

Seems to be quite a few on twitter saying that some long standing employees, some with over 30 years service have been made redundant recently?

Anyone know anything about that?!

There has been a few strange rumours about the club and being leaked on to social media in the last couple of months e.g. Rooney coming in for Ismael. I'm getting very sceptical as a result.

I wonder whether they are putting certain untrue stuff out to see who is leaking, or maybe to try and divide supporters, cause confusion and undermine the reliability of protestors. E.g. "you all accused us of doing X, this was never happening and we don't know where this baseless rumour came from".

People need to be so careful with sticking to facts. There is always so much rubbish on social media.

It almost goes without saying that we all hope this isn't true, we don't want longstanding servants who have given decades for this club to be sacked. If it is, more fuel on the fire.

I can confirm this is true and verified,

Due to confidentiality,  although one name has appeared this morning, I'm not in a position to state their names,  or would want to due to confidentiality agreements etc

And Waggott gets himself a huge pay increase.

No morals or shame in these people.

Travis has posted an Instagram story saying it's disappointing news about Les Field (manager's PA and first team player liaison) and that she'll be missed.

She's always seemed very popular with players going off their social media.

People like her being made redundant while Waggott gets a big pay rise. Feel ill at the fact that I've renewed my season ticket.

I don't mind people making their own minds up about whether to renew season tickets or not. But don't whinge about your decision, down the line.

To be fair I’ll still be paying less than you buying an individual ticket most games. But the thought of giving any money at all to Waggot, Pasha and Venky’s is a horrible one.
