Classic Bizzle. Always has to announce his  his return, then announces his departure straight after.

How’s that flex going by the way?

You asked me a question neither of us could possibly answer either way.

We clearly arent offering competitive Championship wages for this to be a continued running theme.

But the main issue is the lack of proactivity. Why are we still to offer actual contracts for players with such little time remaining on their deals? Why has there been an 18 month lull?

Occasionally some players will outgrow us, but in that case ie Brereton and Rothwell, you have to sell and reinvest. Dolan, I think he would have signed had we been proactive. Now, not gonna happen especially as his stock has grown and his deal has been allowed to expire.

We can easily offer estimates, or a view on the potential earnings those players can obtain here and elsewhere. All that stuff is readily available online. Like turnover to wage ratios, income levels, season ticket prices / numbers etc

“Defending the club” is always the bollox that comes back when anyone offers anything that might be an external factor, like for example a player trying to maximise their income in a short career. Just read Preston’s chairmans recent comments;

https://www.lancashiretelegraph.co.uk/sport/25245597.preston-chief-hits-unfair-issue-affecting-blackburn/

Thats not offering up excuses as to why our turnover is still dog shit, and not increasing enough due to a lack of decent backroom management. It’s not offering an excuse as to why managers walk out the door into teams in the relegation places.

The flex? Aka the higher wages you can offer someone over their contract if you don’t have to pay a fee?

You still here?

Yes, I.e there’s no issue in us buying £7million young players as they’ll be on peanuts.

I don’t think anyone but you ever interpreted it as that, but don’t let me stop you go reading posts from 6 years ago if it’ll get the sand out your arse.

The interview with the #nob end chap was interesting and everything that's missing here when there is silence then they stick 3 stooges in front of the cameras to try and save their own backsides.

No time for Preston but the difference in how the two clubs are run is night and day and i fully expect them to outdo us this season.

Also interesting how they are increasing their turnover despite the cheaper ST offers but of course that couldn't possibly work here even though we still have a bigger fanbase waiting in the wings.

How do you know we aren't competitive wage at championship level?

Is this some sort of info or knowledge you have?

As said above. Players aren't signing contracts.

Back into hibernation after a very brief excursion! Comforting to know he's still around for some reason I can't identify!

I think the comfort comes from knowing I’m still suffering watching this fecking charade, just like the rest of you.

It’s info or knowledge that everyone has. Just look at the wages other clubs pay compared to us, and look at the players we get linked with who turn up elsewhere. Or the number of times it has been reported in the last 3 years that we’ve made an offer to a player and then low-balled them when they arrive to sign their contract.

It’s not a mystery.
