It is possible but someone maybe putting 2 n 2 together with Kenny being there .

I would be surprised under this ownership , Gerrard would want a more stable club.

Doesn't pass the sniff test of how a celebrity would behave in this day and age imo. I don't think it would be possible for one of the most famous footballers of his generation to attend a football game unnoticed. I mean, it's plausible if he wore a big coat and hat, but one pic and the cat's out the bag. Risk > reward surely? But, then again, I'm not a celebrity and a few probably have very funny stories about going undercover.

Rooney did do Derby when they were down  the bottom of the Championship so not unheard of - if Gerrard was to just go for a six month contract so he could wash his hands of everything if worst came to the worst.

He was in the Roar costume apparently.

Still expecting an foreign head coach appointment. Don't see Boa Morte or Boateng getting the job and that's if they are even being interview here.

Gerrard ain't coming here in my opinion.

Wellens will cost £250k to get from Leyton Orient to come here so don't see that happening either. Nicko's story today

Dunno about earlier in the week but Gerrard was in Bahrain on Saturday, one of my mates said he’d seen him there out for tea with his family, but then again I was wrong about Travis supposedly not meeting with Eustace so 🤷🏼‍♂️

“Rob Edward’s’ agent there interviewed earlier this morning…now the weather & traffic…” 😁

Whilst we are winning and the players performing for Lowe / Johnson or just for themselves, why change it ? It is a real worry that someone coming into the club with no knowledge or relationship with the players is a massive risk.

On Gerrard coming here, wouldn't he face a massive tax hike if he took another job here until after March and the new tax year? Just a thought.

Any good head coach appointment would know before he joins not alot needs changing to be fair. We are 5th which says everything is good here

The risk is they don’t appoint a GOOD Head Coach.

It should be first question during the interview process, what would you change about the team for the rest of the season. Answer should be Little tweaks but nothing massive. If anything else don't appoint them.

The last 3 appointments have all be good overall.

Big decision by Gestede and Owen. Expect foreign head coach appointment myself. Probably someone not even mentioned yet

That half of the release clause triggered  for Eustace so why not?

I think that the money for Eustace will have been earmarked to keep the lights on.

The cynic in me , thinks the Venkys would like nothing more than destroy the spirit in the players.

Remember they are the ones who sacked Sam Allardyce and appointed Steve Kean !

Do you think they know Eustace has left? I bet they don’t know we played yesterday…

That's quite possible , nothing would surprise me..

Really unusual situation to be appointing a new manager into given the players seem to be galvanized and massively confident.

personally would love to see the club treat this as a short term appointment 100% focused on trying to get us up. If we took that approach we wouldn’t have to try to exclude managers who they knew wouldn’t have time for Venky’s BS, they’d effectively have a 3 month free hit at massively boosting their reputation.

I fear though that we’re taking a longer term view on this and trying to find a lower profile manager who we’re more likely to keep over the next 3-4 years who won’t be banging down Steve’s door for funding every window. Hope I’m wrong!

I got ridiculed a couple of months back when I predicted a Rovers v Bumley play off final, but -

The turds are defo going to finish outside of the auto places but stay in the top 6 and if we make it through then that Wembly match is inevitable, therefore -

Whoever the new manager is he will need to be a big confident motivator.  Lowey and staff are good football people but a blood and thunder match needs something extra.

Allardyce/Warnock levels of fire and brimstone will be required, we don't want to wilt and fall at THAT last hurdle.

Winning that game will be the sweetest moment imaginable but loosing it would be the nightmare to end all nightmares. Pick a manager with that game in mind.

Choose wisely Maggot!

Mate, honestly…they haven’t a clue what’s going on. Completely unaware and ambivalent.

I met one of their advisors in Dubai last year, at the same level as Suhail. They have around 10x of them globally and he was open about it…”it’s just another business line, another line on the P&L…nothing more or less.”

They're both Liverpool legends

Only one of them has succeeded as manager.
