Just like plenty on here did but for some reason you can't stop mentioning it s why not mention other people who had similar opinion to my at the time?

If we start the new season off like we did his tenure with one point from eighteen. will you want him sacked again?

Hmm, I wonder. Maybe because you like to jump on fans that ‘don’t trust the process’, ‘to just give time and patience’… and you will be doing the same again if we go on a bad run this time.

Nobody likes hypocrisy.

Is that the Greek bloke ?

Same old Matty. Still didn't answer my question but I couldn't give a monkey what you think

Still deeply unconvinced by this bloke.

On the evidence so far, looks like he can't get a result when it REALLY matters and can only get one when it doesn't.

Comes in. Takes him one full game and about eight minutes of the Derby game to unravel a season of Eustace's good work.

Various defeats follow, all involving conceding the opening goal inside the first 20 mins and often far earlier than that.

After five successive defeats and a 2-2 draw at home after being 0-2 down at HT, season looks well and truly over. 5 wins, (in what at the time seem to be dead rubbers) follow, which impossibly actually leave us with a mathematical chance of scraping into the play offs on the final day.

Final game against a weakened Sheff Utd side we go ahead after about an hour. All of a sudden it REALLY matters again. All we have to do is hang on for the win. But....we concede relatively quickly and the season finally peters out.

Yesterday it REALLY matters again, new season, and therefore every point vital. We go back to the previous MO of conceding inside the first 20 mins and thereafter barely laying a glove on the opposition.

Really unbalanced squad, no sign whatsoever of the exciting pressing football he allegedly favours.

Have to say at this point Im not having him.

Feels a bit knee jerk to me after one fairly tough away game on paper at least. Hard to disagree he's a downgrade on the last two men in the job but I'm prepared to give him at least 10 games before I make any firm views on his competency.

Not enough forwards (wide or central) of the required quality, who can be relied upon to say fit and provide goals and/or assists

Squad overloaded with midfielders and bereft of attacking options both in terms of numbers and quality.

Yeah, some judge on the squad on quality and not just bodies you can write down on a squad list.

Lacking any quality out wide, still short of pace, short of craft/technical ability, short of someone to take set pieces, and crucially short of goals.

Im not judging it based solely on one game, Im basing it on his 13 games since he's been here. I saw yesterday as a continuation of what happened last season.

I might be proved completely wrong. Who knows. Let's hope so.

The Forum would be a boring place if you didn't or couldn't pass an opinion until after something had actually happened.

Eustace was the perfect bloke for what we needed. A safe pair of hands, instilled a brilliant team spirit, could organise a side and make it hard to break down, didn't give many sloppy goals away, did the simple things right.

Don't try to be clever or reinvent the wheel in this league especially when you've had a high turnover in personnel on and off the pitch and no money. Just get on with it and make the most of what you've got. Bring in experience to steady the ship. Rely on the experienced senior players already at the club and get them buying into it.

It worked incredibly well, unbelievably well, to go from almost self-inflicted relegation at Leicester to the top 6 in January spending next to nothing and selling Szmodics. Fantastic.

Any remotely sensible club would have been giving Eustace a massive pat on the back, well done John, contract improvement time, brilliant job so far, how can we help you and make sure we keep you happy?

Of course the scum that own and run this club had to dismantle that and quickly, forcing Eustace out to Derby F'ing County and ever since have been busy breaking up the squad he left behind in the top 6. With 3 weeks to go until the window closes time yet for a few more swings of the wrecking ball.

Because we've got the Venky stooge and his henchman Gestede doing god only knows what at the club, instead they can gamble our league status and future on a 'project' and a head coach with a dubious and very much short term record (average tenure 20 odd games at 8 clubs).

There's little reason at this early stage to have much faith in Ismael. What happened at half time against Sheffield Wed and for the 4-5 games after that meaningless now. He's got a very hard job on his hands but he signed up for this and seems content to play the game with Gestede and Pasha.

All so unnecessary and it seems to me all because of behind the scenes politics and personal agendas.

He's only here to relaunch his career and as long as he does ok some interesting foreign job will appear and he'll be off whilst the two stoogies get a pat on the back for bringing in a bit of compo.

rovers is`nt the best place to relaunch your career,it`s likely to ruin it  unless you get out of the place quickly

You say that but out last three managers have moved up arguably.

Mowbray restored his rep and got Sunderland job before his health issues; JDT is Sweden boss; and Eustace is at Derby who are similar to us but actually support the manager.

Ismael will see that and think if he can get us top half a more ambitious club will come for him.

If that's his intention he's going to have to pull his socks up big time!

It worked perfectly well for Paul Lambert, Tony Mowbray and John Eustace whilst further enhancing the profile of JDT.

People in football know the reputation of those who run and own this club so obviously take that into account when judging the potential of these guys.

JDT and Eustace were good managers in an upward trajectory. Mowbray did better than some give him credit for, but benefited from a brief spell when we would pay decent money and salaries  for the likes of Gallagher, Downing , Armstrong, Elliot etc..

Ismael was perceived as having failed in his last 2 British jobs and was well and truly in last chance saloon. He’s also going to have to cope with Operation Downgrade with regards to the squad.

I think there’s more chance we will be worrying about if we can afford or are willing to pay off his 3 year contract, rather than if he will leave us.

Im just  it convinced yet whether his aim is to take us forward, or to facilitate Suhail cutting costs regardless.

He has a 7th placed finish to his name already and whilst we see it as a bit of a failure because his early stint cost us the top 6 others will put it down to lack of funds again.

Of which there is plenty truth in that also.

Whatever happens league position wise this season he'll have dealt with a big player turnover and might well end up with a negative transfer budget.

It's a no lose job here for these average joe types off the scrapheap.

Don't disagree with your overall point but if missing out on the play offs when the Club were in the top 6 when you took over is judged a success - Im in the wrong job!

Agreed.

And worryingly the 3 stooges seemed to double down on him being "the outstanding candidate" during the car crash interviews so would they even want to ditch him if needed?

We can 20 strikers but if we don't create anything or put good balls into the box its pointless. I would also like to see one of the centre midfielder get forward into the box and get more bodies into the box.

5 centre midfielders isn't a squad overloads. We had 4 midfielders and were short after Tronstad and Travis got injured and Baker went back to Stoke.

Axel is attacking midfielders
