Its that Howard RV/Mercer twitter account it seems that has suggested this. An account that has a track record of making stuff up.

And if we really have paid 2 million Euros (dubious obviously but let's assume a second since it's the only fee reported) of course they've sold him a year after joining - that's 5 times what they paid. Knowing our lot, there is no way in hell our opening bid was anything like that. Which means they held out for a much bigger fee and weren't that keen to sell him.

It wasnt meant as a criticism of him. Just that he has very little senior experience.

As of  31st March ‘24 we had £3,237,414 of future fee payment liabilities contingent on promotion to the PL.

I wouldn’t put it past our lot to see avoiding having to pay this sum as a positive.

61 games I make it. Including a couple of Prem appearances for Leicester. It's not a great amount at 23, but I'm not too concerned by it. The main worry is if we have spent any serious money on him we are very likely selling Travis, and therefore this lad needs to be as good right now just for us to tread water this season. I don't think the odds of that are that good, as Trav is a seasoned campaigner who knows the club and knows the league, has proven he can be one of the better CMs in the league, and of course is our captain to boot so we probably lose something in the dressing room.

In the highly unlikely event we keep all the three Ts and have enough budget to spend elsewhere, it would make sense as a supplementary signing with potential to improve and phase out the others as they age. But that would only happen at a properly ran club.

I don't give a feck what this bloke on Twitter posts.  By all means have a go at me (though you do seem to have an unhealthy obsession with me) but don't attribute comments from someone else on another social media platform to me.

I think many were for the Porto B side though. Although it does seem like they are in the second tier in Portugal. I think he played at Ewood when they played our under 21s.

As you touch on. If hes to supplement Tronstad and Travis (or replacements) then all good. If hes expected to replace either, a worry.

Well Byron, Keats, Shelley and Wordsworth were all poets who were thought to have a similar writing style!

As for opinions, 90%+ of a political party share the same opinions, don't they?

I am not unique and don't pretend to be and I am pretty sure there are many out there with both similar opinions and similar ways of expressing themselves.

Well we seem to be going all in on the left field signings. Would love to know how the transfer strategy is working behind the scenes. Already up to six with no British league experience before rovers (Tronstad, Ohashi, Gueye, Kargbo, De Neve, Sid - well, hes had a few games at Leicester but not much). Dont think we have had more than one or two non UK experienced players at Rovers since we left the Premier League.

Quite like all of Tronstad, Ohashi, Gueye and Kargbo so hopeful the new guys can keep in the same vein or better.

the strategy,just sign anyone who`s cheap and is`nt going to ask for decent wages then get rid of the ones who are
