Due to a combination of contract mismanagement and the smell of those in charge being desperate for spare change to keep the lights on, Rovers get low balled on fees almost as often as they try to low ball their own players for contract offers Edited Saturday at 08:10 by KentExile 5 Quote

Boro, Derby or Wrexham - none are going to offer his true worth - or really offer much career advancement. I suppose it is a limited career, so if they are increasing his salary. He isn't near Prem standard really he was probably the best RWB last season outside of the top 6 clubs but we are talking one good season not several consistent ones. 2.5 million is too cheap for us to be letting him go but if they are getting 3 million plus for a guy with only a year left it's fair game i suppose but the whole point is it should never have come to this and had no need to in his case, it's ALL on the club again. If they'd tied him down as they should have, no excuses on this one, then any interested clubs would have to be starting their bidding with a 4. Quote

Tomphil2 Posted Saturday at 08:29 Posted Saturday at 08:29 Who said he's refused to play ? It's an anonymous account on social media FFS and there is nothing unusual about a player under offer from another club being pulled from a game.Β It could be his agent it could be Rovers saying better to sit this one out and his head will be all over the shop anyway what's the point of risking turning an ankle or getting a kick on the calf in a friendly ? 1 Quote
blondie Posted Saturday at 08:31 Posted Saturday at 08:31 (edited) 10k/week wage cap having its effect, no new deals for Tronstad, Travis and Hyam as they are already on over that amount, Brittain will obviously earn more elsewhere. Edited Saturday at 08:33 by blondie spelling 1 Quote

neophox Posted Saturday at 08:51 Posted Saturday at 08:51 Brittain along with Tronstad was one of our best players last season and important one but Brittain good going forward had some defensive lapses....still one of the best players on his day in the division. Quote
Tomphil2 Posted Saturday at 08:52 Posted Saturday at 08:52 The club could tell him to play but all the talk of Callums head turned do we not seriously think the clubs head is turned even further at the prospect of another 3 million sale and 10k a week OFF the payroll ? 2 Quote
