We are waiting for Ronaldinho to sign on a pay as you play first, but Beckham has signed. Possibly, anyway, he has been photographed in a Rovers shirt but nobody is sure if we pressed send. Don't worry though, we have a 1 billion quid warchest waiting for us if we can just get approval from the court toda- ah they've adjourned. Something fucking like that anyway. 3 Quote

Australia play 5 at the back and he's regularly played as the right wide/wing back, so he's no stranger to getting up the pitch. It looks like he was used differently at Hibs, but he's probably a bit more versatile than he's been given credit for. You're wrong,Β he's shite, the people on here who've never seen him play said so. 3 Quote

Why would owners who donβt give a fuck about the club set a perceived false agenda? To safe face? Give me a break.Β tax and financial purposes ...if they don't give a fuk...we'll be in admin or filed bankruptcy ...they can't do both as they'll be called for the instruments by the bank... every cost in rovers books is inflated ...especially agent fees Quote

I will make a further prediction When Liverpool replace Salah, that will also be a downgrade However, his replacement will still be good, probably one of the best Both of those things can be true simultaneously Β Edited 2 hours ago by KentExile Quote

Remember him taking a lot of stick from the Riverside (no surprise there!) Moving him into midfield was inspired though. Was that Tony P or Don Mackay who did that? 2 Quote
Paul Mani Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago Itβs a great pointβ¦ The number who are βconcernedβ or blatantly claim were weaker now, simply because theyβve not seen the signings play is laughable. Listen, all of the players weβve signed COULD be shit, but Iβm not stupid enough to write anyone off until Iβve watched them play and the number of fully grown men willing to do so is truly bewildering! π€·π½ββοΈπ€£ 3 Quote

What has happened, is people have noticed patterns over years, looked at the experience/careers/price/etc of players going out, vs payers coming in, and come to a conclusion. I said a few days ago that in most cases, any players brought in are likely to be an immediate downgrade on any they replace.Β Now this doesn't mean that any new signings are going to be rubbish, and it doesn't mean that they wont improve, and possibly even given time, be better than those who they replaced.Β But it is a logical step, seeing as we are in general replacing experienced Championship performers with younger players from overseas 8 Quote

aletheia Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago I look forward to all the new replacements -of course, time will be needed for bedding in, adapting to the new project and transition - and then I look forward to significant expenditureΒ in January for reinforcements for a definite promotion push that will propel us into the top 6 -it's been coming for some time now (apart from league 1 of course).... I've not outright said it but I've voiced concern SPL fans don't think he's a technical player, and outside of Korea (recent loss), Saudi (recent win) and Japan (recent win) - I don't pay much attention to his overlapping ability against Indonesia and Bahrain Very excited to be proved wrongΒ Quote
Paul Mellelieu Posted 2 hours ago Posted 2 hours ago It's a big if, but if the Brittain money helps us bring in a better wide player to replace RH, then maybe we won't be weaker overall. Quote

Iβve seen plenty of posts insisting that we are weaker now. In spite of signing six players. Most of whom none of us (including myself) have seen play. At best thatβs saying the players weβve signed are no better than the ones whoβve left, at worst those posters are saying the players whoβve signed are shite. My point is, how could any of us know? We could be significantly worse off, or we could be significantly better off. Only time will tell. 1 Quote
