As much as I hate where we are and think it's pathetic today was a great example of why when you've not a pot to piss in, the pot might as well be 6ft tall and rapid.Β  Just need one upfrontΒ

Would agree πŸ’― with this. A big powerful centre forward to battle centre halves is what we need. Gueye just isn't that playerΒ

The rules make that nearly impossible in the Championship. Without fielding English players we would lose our ability to sign enough players who don't automatically qualify for permits, and it's much harder to find cheapΒ players who auto qualify for permits at this level, and certainly with our finances. It can be done (no English players) but you'd have to almost go out of your way to make it happen.

Fixed that for youΒ

Eh?

Same lad tweeted just underneath that to say he had made it up to see if it would be picked up anywhere.

I would imagine only by the same people who would fall for the phone call from "microsoft" to tell them they have a virus

What makes anyone so sad they feel the need to do that?

Attention. But we can take it as a light lesson in not being gullible for more serious situations in our lives.Β πŸ™ƒΒ

Did Ismael have anything to say on transfers after the game ?Β

Not seen anything mentioned so farΒ

Only that he expects incomings and outgoings this week.

Has Todd Cantwell got a twin?

Looks a completely different player today, absolutely unplayable.

Not sure where he's been for the last 12 months!

We've seen flashes, but he's absolutely been inconsistent.

He's been excellent in the last 2 (today particularly so). It would seem that the armband suits him.

If he can perform like that on a consistent basis this season, we finish in the top half as a minimum.

One thing i have always said on here is that I dont think you can question Cantwells work rate. I think he leaves it all out there, sometimes everything he tries doesnt come off and he might drift in and out of games from a creative point of view.

Often think its a lazy criticism to point out his work rate because he's classed as a "luxury" player.

He has lead from the front and by example the last two games. Whether he is the sort of character to do that when we're in December/January and we have Saturday/Tuesday away games I'm not sure, but his work rate isntΒ  and never has been in question for me.

The scumbags chanting for Tommy Robinson would probably disagree

No one actually cares. You could always start a counter chant for kier starmer if it bothers you so much. They can chant for whoever they wish. What about the days of β€˜oh Jeremy Corbyn etc’

Either way its very tiresomeΒ

Completely agree - even when the output wasn't coming off for him, he's always worked really hard whilst he's been here.

I suspect some have preconceived ideas/opinions of TC, based on what they've read from Rangers fans / etc.
I even read a derogatory comment on here the other day about him wearing a hairband.
Like it ever mattered when Tugay wore one.

Yeah because there's been absolutely no difference between Tugay and Cantwell in his time here, the last couple of games excepted.

ROFL.

Way to miss the point.

Both have/had long hair and wore hair bands.
One has been criticised for it, the other hasn't.

You're the one completely missing the point.

Cantwell was absolutely shite last season and was also frequently unavailable through various alleged called minor injuries.

Today he showed what a quality player he is and what he is capable of when he puts his mind to it. We need to see that version of Cantwell every week not the lily livered half arsed version we saw last season.

Strange how quickly opinions on players change, when he was mysteriously absent v West Brom everyone assumed he was on his way and at that point hardlyΒ  anyone was shedding a tear. He was even shite against Bradford.

Now one good game and one exceptional one and he's the greatest player in the world.Β

Im actually one of those guilty of quickly changing camps. Im really looking forward to seeing what he can do this season IF he can keep that up.

To me Cantwell is unsuited to being in a leadership position at a Championship club, BRFC has a lot of such individuals … so of course he gets to be captain, not exactly a difficult prediction

Time will tell, won’t it. If it’s the making of him then fantastic.. but there’s a reason why a quality footballer (in his peak years) like him is here as he’s had a few false dawns in his career.

Watford eyeing hyam - according to Nixon.Β

a fire sale at ewood, preformance today will put ideas in the board’s head they can still squeeze 1-2 outgoings to further cut costs.. i expected thisΒ

I suppose it's weather Hyam's happy, does he want to get out- I think he's a steady performer, would rather he stays given the amount of players we've already shed..

I still think he leaves.. Trondstadt maybe too...
