Every player brought in has been funded by a player leaving and the wage budget has been slashed in the process.

A wage budget that was already in the bottom third of the league.

The clearly have no guarantees the owners will put sufficient money in and are being asked (or are being proactive) in trying to make our money stretch as far as possible. 

It's obviously a massive gamble, but the alternative is Brittain, Travis et al leaving on a free in the summer and us not being able to field a team next season - regardless of what division we're in.

When you've run your eyes over that many duds over the years, it does get somewhat easier to see through the hype, it's true. 

Most of us can spot a 'player' in the same way that Pasha can't.

Sign a truck load of mostly obscure international players then give then Championship appearances and exposure to instantly improve value and stats.

Hope that one or two really hit the mark and become worth a big fee whilst the rest should remain of interest to lower teams abroad again through your agency network.

Pray your head coach keeps you in the Championship, collect a nice wage and possible commissions whilst doing this.

Promotion/play pffs/league position ?  You're having a laugh, not your problem.
