It won’t have been my first game as Dad will have taken us to many games before this one and I would have just played down the front, but my first game I can recall being at is the Man U cup tie in 85.

Reading at home in 1988, sat in the Nuttall Street with my old man. Finished 1-1 and was a bit shit tbh, persevered though. Always considered myself lucky, caught the tail end of harder times but obviously got to enjoy the good times. I've seen my team with the premier league, the league Cup and followed away in Europe including the champions league. Young lads now have it tough, hopefully the good times return!

My Dad took me to home game v Man Utd, last game in 1965-66 season. We lost 4 1 and had already been relegated from Division 1.

Too young to remember the game but remember running along those steps at the back of the Blackburn End.

West Ham at home, Jan 1995 (4-2, Shearer hattrick / Le Saux).

I grew up just over the hill, so spent years watching from the hill and through the gates, but this was my first game proper.

Sat in the Walkersteel with a couple of my mates, would have been 10 or 11.

1989 V Stoke City at home, a rainy gloomy day sat with my dad on Nuttall Street stand. Remember walking back up livesey branch on my dads shoulders. Was the only game he took me to as he wasnt into football really. Come the 90s I was back down there as we all know what came next

Charlton Athletic at home Oct(?) 74. Riverside Stand with my dad. First game of league football for me. The blue and white halves (and the win!) did it for me and never interested in supporting any other football league club from that day on. We still went all over the north-west picking the best games when Rovers were too far away. Always had a soft spot for Bury due to close family friends.

Prior to that I'd been taken all over the north-west following the great Rossendale United side of the early 70's.

One of my earliest memories of supporting Rossy is of going to Ewood and standing in the Nuttall Street paddock (I think) for a Lancashire Floodlight Cup final against Great Harwood (possibly?). Would love to hear from anyone who knows about that match as tried to look it up online but not found anything.

Shame he turned out to be a knob 🙄

Nothing wrong with a pair of stubbies.

Bizarre to think not long before it was all about baggie shorts

I could claim the record here. 1949 Rovers v Man City, aged 2, sitting on my Dad's shoulders in the Darwen End Enclosure.

A very eventful match but I remember nothing of it!

EDIT---we were awarded 3 penalties and missed the first two!.Eckersley took the third and scored.

We won but can't remember the score.
