"As we celebrate our 150th anniversary, we’re not just looking back,we're building for the future."

So proud of our History and Success,THE most successful Town Club in England but also so sad at what Venkys have done to us.How they have the nerve to come out with the above is truly galling.

Personally I think it’s great.  This club has a truly inspirational history. It has represented our town with pride and given us something to be proud of. It has punched above its weight consistently. It has won things in 3 centuries..how many clubs can say that?  We have been represented by international stars, charismatic football artists and legions of honest hardworking players who probably represent us most of all. Someone in the club still feels that pride. You can call it cynical. For me it shows that our club, however difficult the current situation is, still has people that understand who we are and why we exist and wants to celebrate it.

I think the point for most current fans is that it's so hollow. There is no reveling in our proud history whilst the last 15 years of it have been a total embarrassment. The people at the club posting about our great history have spent all that time basically dismantling it. They don't get to post and gloat about it, they're ruining it.

I don’t think that’s entirely true. Yes there are people at the very top who have no idea how to preserve our heritage and little interest in doing so but most of the people working at the club are from the area and many love the club as we do and are trying to keep the heart of the club alive. We just have to hope there are enough of them left when Venkys and Suhail leave. Ignoring the 150th would be more in keeping with Venkys dereliction of duty.  The club is not rotten to the core it’s rotten at the top,  there are good people there and when they manage something that elevates us above the shitshow even temporarily I’m going to applaud it.

I watched the video that Shearer presented and thought it was good, a potted history celebrating what is good not just about Rovers but about Blackburn people and the town.

Personally I would like to see that on the big screen before every match.

There’s been far too much about the borough of BwD over BRFC from day dot of this 150th stuff. Like it’s been planned out of a council committee at the town hall over people at Ewood Park with a feel for the history of Blackburn Rovers.

I see the town and people as part of our heritage and mutually inclusive.

Not to this extent. I’ve heard far more about Blackburn Museum than Blackburn Rovers.
