Been listening to Boro Sheff Utd on radio, Brittain sounds like he has hit the ground running, sounding very involved and influential in a team that have already won 3 matches.

With Sheff Utd I think everyone did a double take when they appointed this Selles, he must just interview unbelievably well.

I thought they would go and get Sean Dyche, or maybe someone like Steven Gerrard. He might be the first for the sack.

Whilst Boro have been wasteful Sheffield United had the best chance but they do appear to be in a bit of disarray. Hamer, who I think is one of the best Championship midfielders has been anonymous and looks like he doesn't want to be there. Louie Barry is a talent but his defensive work is shocking. And Peck should have been sent off.

Yes they did say on radio that it should have been red for Peck.

Wonder how long Sheff Utd persist with Selles? Dire results and performances in every match so far. Think he could genuinely relegate them if given the entire season.

Stings watching the EFL highlights and seeing Brittain directly involved in all of Boro's attacks.

Trav should have been sent off today, never mind booked. Blatantly kicked an Ipswich player in the face.

Sheffield united played like a different team from the one that dominated last season. Brittain doing well for boro, quality going forward with decent crosses.

Will post in here as most relevant.

Derby have started the season even worse than us but they seem to have done some good business and I feel like with the manager they have, once the new players bed in they will soon move up the table.

Eustace has obviously had a big say and I find this modern day suggestion that a manager/head coach having a big influence on recruitment is archaic, to be totally ridiculous. He is working with these players.

He has been backed and unlike last summer when we needed forwards and he was given the average Ohashi and the awful Gueye. He has been backed with a big money USA striker, dunno what hes like, but also proven Championship quality in Morris and Brereton.

You also throw into the mix good quality in like Travis and Johnston, and then a few others to add good quality to the squad around that, a mixture of longer term without prioritising the most important season which is the current one, they look much stronger than last season. Justifies his decision to leave even more.

I also find the idea that our window has been about finding superior models as if we have chosen to lose who we have lost to be totally untrue and I would prefer their window.

They have done some good business like Morris and BBD signings and I've never said otherwise, tho it has surprised how many players he had here, he has signed like Batth, Weimann and Beck there. Its no surprise Travis has gone there and people were saying that when he went there

Eustace favours the domestic transfer market and that is his style. Nothing wrong with that but Rovers want to look overseas for similar type of quality but cheap transfer fees and wages. That why people like Adam Owen, Michael Cairney and Piotr Sadowski were brought in to exploit these overseas market. That's why its suits Rovers having a head coach who from an European background or willing to endorse that market.

Key 2 words here are cheap relating to wages of signings and willing in relation to the manager doing and taking as he is told.

We have wage budget and you have to stay within that Just like every football club and business as told.

I don't think Ismael does he is told but he is actually aligned with Gestede and Owen in trying to build a squad in what he actually wants like centre midfielder like Baradji who can box to box and score goals. I think your opinion that Ismael is yes man is total bollocks. The cub have backed Ismael with 8 signings and spending money more than the original transfer budget(which was £5m according to Fans Forum meetings)

Why do you have to?

You can increase the budget if you want. I can guarantee Derby have significantly increased their wage bill this summer judging by their recruitment and desire to progress as a club.

Wrexham another. Birmingham. Charlton. All budgets that will have shot up.

We didn't even need to increase or break our wage bill. Could have simply maintained what we had but that would have required the owners to maintain their financial input. They clearly don't want to. Their choice, we have to live with the consequences of those choices.

Constantly looking for cuts and reductions and hiding behind 'wage structure' is just a race to the bottom.

Wrexham, massive Commercial investment from the USA and given who their owners are can attract big US companies similar with Birmingham to sponsor them. Our owners doesn't used their contacts for sponsorship/commercial revenue
