Subs - Pears, Miller, McLauchlin, Pickering, Montgomery, TGH, Kargbo, Henriksson, Gudjohnsen Strong bench and leaves DeNeve and Gueye in the stands but could easily add those two back in and take out Christi and Henriksson? Probably have Gueye in for Montgomery as with TGH and Miller he’s not first choice back up for either position he may come on 1 Quote

arbitro Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago I saw Ipwich's 5-0 win on Friday and until the first goal went in Sheffield United were the best team. The goal had a real touch of fortune about it but the finish from Philogene was really good. From then on Sheffield looked like a team absolutely bereft of confidence and the question was rightly asked about players not playing for the manager. As ever tempo is important and we need to start quickly. For the opening periods of every game so far we have been second best so coming out of the traps with intensity is vital. As in most Championship matches the first goal is important. 2 Quote

An attacking formation, go for our first home win. Quote

Ohashi and Gudjohnssen on the scoresheet. Think positive. Quote

I imagine (and it probably should be) it will be the same 11 as against Watford Edited 9 hours ago by KentExile 1 Quote

I'm more confident than the start of the season. 2 1 1 Quote

On the numbers of players we have a lot of forwards but only really Tronstad as a proven midfielder, while Tavares has struggled, Baraji is injured and Montgomery and TGH yet to really show what they can do. If Cantwell can perform there it gives us an extra mid which we really need imo, if not now then certainly when we start getting into 3 games a week. Ive seen enough from Todd to suggest he can do it. 1 Quote
benhben Posted 8 hours ago Posted 8 hours ago Good win at the weekend. I think we should start Gudjonsson as hes obviously match fit and scored against France. Theres no need for us to keep him on the bench. Harsh but either Hedges or Yuki to drop out for me. Similar to others sadly I think it will be a tight game but their extra quality will show in the end 1-2. Toth Albeiousi Carter Wharton Ribiero Tavares Tronstadt Morashita Cantwell Yuki Gudjonssen Quote

I just cant see the sense in dropping real performers like Hedges or Ohashi and keeping Tavares on the pitch. Sends completely the wrong message.... You've got to reward the best performers with starts. 1 Quote

I really like Ohashi, I think he’s the best pure finisher at the club, but from all accounts Gudjonnsen looked to be more of an attack leader. I’d rather we didn’t have to bring him on to get us back in the game. I’d start him. However if we don’t and we start with Ohashi, that’s fair enough. Edited 4 hours ago by Tyrone Shoelaces 5 Quote

With Alebiouso overlapping all day Ohashi can do that role on the right which will utilise his ceaseless pressing off the ball and he will get in the box when we're on the front foot. Think it will suit him more actually than being the lone man up front. Means you have Gueye as the change striker but Im okay with that. Edited 3 hours ago by joey_big_nose Quote

Said it myself and I think most at times have said it's time to 'cut the hedges'.... (enter tumbleweed / exit tumbleweed) But he has proven himself of late and deserves a spot. 1 Quote
