they are not blamed for weather .... but for knowing the drainage problem for years and not doing anything and for being the only pitch unplayable in PL,CH,L1 and L2.

Fair point. Less than a year ago our match vs Pompey was delayed too so the EFL will probably factor that in when making a decision, but hoping we come out of this one with 3 points or continuing the match where we left off.

Opportunity here for the EFL and SKY to make a spectacle of replaying the last 20 mins. Tag the coverage on to before or after another decent audience fixture

Some of the best ideas are born out of situations like this.

Perhaps this could be the new football version of the cricketing format Twenty/20.

There are already talks taking place, of extending the play off positions, so how about the teams in 7th and 8th playing the teams in 5th and 6th away from home with a man short and a goal down, but only play 15 minutes each way. They would probably go at it hell for leather.

To add a bit of an it's a knockout theme to it, soak the pitch beforehand and make sure the ball sticks in puddles and won't bounce.

It is just a joke by the way, before anyone starts to tear into me.

From an article: https://eflanalysis.com/news/the-efl-board-members-deciding-blackburn-rovers-and-ipswich-town-fate-as-teams-make-their-case/

Quote

The EFL Board considering the matter consists of ten directors, including direct representatives of the Championship. Rick Parry is the chair while Trevor Birch is the chief executive of the board. They’re joined by non-executive directors Caroline Artis and Justine Roberts.

Meanwhile, club representatives Peter Ridsdale (Preston North End), Neil Bausor (Middlesbrough), Zoe Webber (Norwich), Liam Scully (Lincoln), Julian Tagg (Exeter), and Charles Grant (Crewe) are also involved.

Does sound like a much more involved process than first anticipated.

Small things would be classed as influence no? Sure it won't matter in the grand scheme of things but hey ho
