Coventry have scored 27 goals in 9 games, an average of 3 a game. We've turned our season round, if we get anything out of this one.

Very tough game. Wish it was next weekend

Personally think the club (and fans) need to stick with Gudjohnsen, you have to back your own transfer business, if you did your job right. Let's hope someone did.

Strikers feed off regular game time and confidence.... I'm glad he wasn't dropped for today.

Despite not scoring he's already looked handier than George Hirst ever did for us and he played in the prem. Way too early to judge... or get on his back.

Give it a rest and get behind him! If you can judge a player in 2 matches then go get a job in professional football, you'd be invaluable to any club 😄

As they always say, it's better to be missing chances than not be getting them in the first place.

His movement's been good enough for him to miss two real chances in two games.

Did I not write mini match report about 6 hours ago? I think I did that.

I was referring to a specific reply to Den.

Not sure spending 10m in window is cheap window for us and probably our most expensive for many season and we reinvested some of the sale money

You're completely ignoring the £12m sales then?

If Miller can continue today's man of the match performance, you can put him alongside alibousi, pardon the spelling, as a worthy signing.

Yeah, hes been very good. Mobile, good in the air, dedicated, good recovery. Him and McLoughlin have been very decent imo.

Look at my original point Rev. I said we spent around 10m which including reinvesting of money from sales given the original budget was 5m

Did anyone else notice TGH and Tronstad running into the same areas defensively? Obvisously a new pairing and thought TGH looked decent in his first game, but he's a lot worse than Travis. He should probably start ahead of Tavares against Coventry too but I'd give Sidnei a start again soon if I was Ismael.

I agree hes worse than Travis but Sid is another big step down from TGH. If we have to try someone else out at CM I would go for Montgomery. Or put Cantwell in the midfield two.

Centre midfield is a time bomb waiting to go off as soon as Tronstad gets injured or suspended.

Morishita had that one moment in the first half where he crossed for Gudjohnsen who should've done better.

I think we're seeing most of our summer signings are needing time to get up to the pace and physicality of the Championship. Tronstad admitted it took a bit of time when he first joined too, but then after a while he was fine and coped well. Players like McLoughlin are expected to gel right in, whereas the reason Miller and Alebiosu have done better than the rest is that they've both played in the SPL,

de Neve had his best performance in a Rovers shirt today, which is a positive as well.

Of course there are examples of players who started slowly and then settled and thrived. But just as many if not more

But the likelihood is that a % (however low or high) will simply prove to be not up to it. We cant just assume that they all will be slow burners like Tronstad.

The fans are and will be behind Gudjohnsen. Saying he has looked crap in these 2 starts doesnt mean that they arent behind him.

Gardner Hickman is average, there is a reason why he was unable to establish himself at 3 previous clubs.

That is still better than Tavares seemingly. And the other midfielder we signed, we cleverley did so knowing hes injured for months.

Montgomery has looked miles off the standard and Cantwell is our best player where he is currently playing, hes never a deeper midfielder.

Let's not pretend now.

I've read... "Gueye has more footballing ability in his big toe than Gudjohnson has in his entire body." "Losing patience with Gudjohnsen".

It's pathetic.

Well those are sadly the options we have until Baradji is fit.

I dont think Montgomery has had enough mins in centre midfield to form much of an opinion yet. But i would only bring him in if TGH or Tronstad are unavailable (which will happen soon given the number of games we have coming up).

Again. That comment on a messageboard does not prove that the poster is not behind the player. You are confusing being criticial of a player on here with not being behind him.

i expect a pro footballer to be able to trap a football, wether he`s not  match fit or getting used to a new country,it`s a basic fundamental skill, thats twice in a week where he`s completely ****** up a goalscoring chance, overall he was`nt to bad on tuesday, today he was absolutely minging

You're confusing critical with being completely unreasonable.

I too think he should have scored.

Your point was about backing him, getting behind him and not getting on his back.

Even if you disagree with the opinion you shared or other opinions, it doesnt mean that the poster or indeed anyone doesnt back him when he puts on the shirt.

Wish we had the Stoke keeper, it'd make a world of difference. One of the best I've seen, including the Prem.

He is a good one not even his best performance against us today.

I think he's poor.

Coin toss between him and Pears.

Not the major issue though. Cantwell and Alebiosu apart we lack any real quality anywhere over the pitch.

That Emerald Isle Chap who thought Ohashi would get 15-20 goals this season has gone a bit quiet.

Oh Rev cone off it, course it could turn but we would have conceded at least 3 with Pears today, one where Toth came out to clear the ball Pears would have still been on the six yard line.  There is clear daylight between the two in terms of ability, at the moment Toth is streets ahead of Pears.  I am flabbergasted you can even suggest different.

He pushes the ball straight back out in front of him.

Lucky he wasn't punished today.

Once?  Pears does that regularly Toth once in a while ALL keepers will Toth generally get's it to the side.  Even if you are right that is it.    Toth is better with his angles, coming out, catching, kicking, shot stopping mostly, quite a bit younger than Pears too isn't he.  But if you want a keeper who never parries a ball into the danger area I'm afraid there isn't one and Pears did that on a more regular basis than Toth.  Aso Toth HAS even improved in his ti.e here Pears?  Well he's as shit today as he's always been, showed no improvement ither than a short spell where he did fairly well but the the bottom seemed to drop out   Have we seen a Wednesday style blunder from Toth yet, Ainsley entertained us with more than one in huge huge games too,  so Rev, roll one for me mate.

That TGH is impressing me some and  a Mc? whose name I can not spell has shown SOME promise but Alebiosu is a good signing, TGH streets ahead if Tavares and looks to be enjoying himself here.  Cantwell good, really good at times.  Seems like the opposition like to try to kick him out of games early and he gets little protection from refs.  Shits out of some 50-50's on song he's a good watch.

We have slashed the wage budget and brought in more transfer funds than we spent.
