Gudjohnsen hasnt shown that he is reasonable outside the box.

We have conceded 2 goals in his 4 starts and there have been other wasted opposition counter attacks as a direct result of his inability to hold the ball up.

Another one playing way above his skill set.

Whatever your opinion on Gueye this kind of public comment isn’t one of a manager who will have the team running through brick walls for him. this is at least the third time he’s publicly criticised his own players.

VI on subs🗣️

"The striker we've got on the bench was Pape, who came on at the end.

"Honestly, the performance from Pape last weekend didn't convince me that he would make an impact for us at the minute.“

I know it's probably unwise to say so in public, as he did with Tavares as well, but once you're given a chance as a substitute then at least put some effort in and play the was you've been instructed. Gueye hasn't played with any intensity at all and Tavares who is more worried about looking dandy-ish than making it as a footballer.

Sure it's difficult to come into a team that's disjointed and not looking like it's going to come back into the games, but at least show the fans and the manager that you're trying.

I disagree..a fookin Dustbin in a Blue n White shirt would have more impact.

As for the rest of the rabble not a single player I have any love or empathy for.A team of foreign mercenaries and poor quality plodders not fit to wear our famous Shirt.

K'in sick of it all.

I'd make an exception for Scott Wharton, but you're right and he's suffering the same malaise as the rest.

I suspect that all isn’t well between Scott and the stooges.

Just a hunch that, but it feels that way.

We are in a place were making a substitution is like asking if you want to be kicked in the balls or the head, we look clueless when changes are made (see 2nd goal).

We get plenty of balls into the box, but they don't have a purpose. Crosser has a mentality of if I get it into the box I've done my job and the striker doesn’t make any decent movement, all this can be coached and drilled but game after game, no change.

The long throws only bring one positive in my mind, less time for the opponents to have possession of the ball to score against us.

Another evening were the away end is all cheers and having fun. I am sick to the back teeth of it, it is embarrassing.

I can stand losing, but I cannot stand being set up from the start of the season to lose due to incompetent,  arrogant people running the club with a clueless approach to player recruitment and sales.

Just don't know how tp feel about anything anymore. Numb is how I feel with it all. There's no one steering the ship we are floating off toward oblivion. Captain abandoned ship years ago and we are an empty vessel going wherever the take takes us.

Don't even know where to begin thinking about how we can climb out this hole everything just seems impossible.

We won’t climb out, we’ll dig deeper.

Good to hear Duncan. I look forward to reading the minutes, if it’s not, what I heard.

Any idea when they are being released and will I be a fair reflection of the meeting?
I did hear what I posted, from some who attended last time and refused to attend this due to the farce with the minutes.

FF members apparently invited to Brockhall to see how good the team spirit is.

I hope the visit is this morning.

I imagine that Pasha & Rudy have studied this method to help improve team spirit

If team spirit is good I hate to think how shit we’ll be when this drops away.

Half time I was in pretty good spirits. Deservedly leading with Sheff U not looking threatening at all. A better ball in from De Neve early in the second half and we could be 2-0 up. Then total implosion….

Totally understand why the manager is getting stick but reality is any change is not going to sort out the problem.

Unpopular opinion, but I’d stick with him for now.

Ismael is not the root cause of the problem (*), the cause of our problems is way above him, He does seem to set us up fairly well (given the players we have) to start games, however, he seems completely incapable of changing things (in a positive way) once other teams/managers adapt to our tactics and get on top in any given game.

My issue is that whoever replaces him will just be (like the players) the cheapest option, maybe we drop lucky and get the manager/head coach equivalent of Alebiosu , but the likelihood is that we don't

* edit - although he did sign up to this ridiculous "project" of offloading our Championship performers and replacing them on the cheap, so he is complicit.... but so would any manager/head coach who comes in to replace him as long as they are working under Pasha/Rudy, and ultimately Venkys

It’s just maddening that the majority of the fanbase called this in the summer and as usual weren’t listened to and totally patronised by gestede and co saying no these players will excite and it’s the start of a new dawn.
We have signed one decent player at right back and a steady central defender but then sold our other steady central defender. Absolute car crash of a window , these players aren’t and never will be good enough , that much is clear

I agree, but sooner or later everyone enters a point of no return and I think Ismael is getting close...

Operation Bullshit in full flow...all is well was the cry as the good Ship Rovers started to sink below the Waves.

This final Venkys solution has been coming for 3 years, not just since the summer…and it doesn’t end here.

It started when Venky’s pulled the plug on JDT’s budget. It started ironically against Sheff Utd in the FA Cup. It started when Kaminski, a fit again & proven top class Championship goalkeeper was left out of the team to accommodate Pears. He remained there for the rest of the season to build his minutes up. Pears is now getting the same treatment until he can be sold too and weaken the squad even further.

It cost us a Wembley trip and what should have been a nailed on play off place that season and it’s been downhill ever since.

If you think this can’t get any worse…..

I don't think you can fault the effort of the team, but at the end of the day the quality and composure just isn't there unfortunately. Lots of hard work but very low quality when you need it most.

You get what you pay for. The club can try and put a postive spin on the summer but as fans we've watched enough Rovers teams to understand when we have a competitive squad or not.

It's a very sad, painful watch and who knows what the future holds.

When Ishmael started making his substitutions there was palpable laugher in the JW Upper.

Ishmael is clearly a problem but we must focus on the root cause:  ownership and the plants (several connotations to the word plant) they employ at Ewood Towers and Brockhall.

I have went against the tide before on this but this is the reality of the players

toth- one of only 3 current players that’s good enough for the league

alebiuso- great tank , good defensively, maybe work on final ball, getting some assists/ goals but not really his job. Also good enough for the league

Wharton/mclaughlin- steady enough but both capable of poor mistakes and seem to lack a real leader back there

riberio- fell off a cliff this season form wise- manager issue? Rather have Pickering currently

de neve- pace but doesn’t know how to use it. Not champ quality

kargbo- utter headless chicken. 0 footballing brain, not good enough, never will be

axel- clumsy, little quality, does silly fouls, not good enough

tavares- tidy but not physically up to his position or the league, who is scouting these folk

hickman- pretty bloody awful, couldn’t even get in a league 1 team and it shows. Another smallwood

baradgi- no idea. Who signs somebody that can’t play for months? Us that’s who

tronstadt- looks unhappy and seriously lacking help in the middle. Form has also worryingly dipped

cantwell- champ quality which is rare in the squad, must hate playing in this team

hedges- rotten and has always been

Japanese lads- technically good but lightweight. Too easily brushed aside and got to question if they are suited to the league

gueye- not good enough and never has been. Terrible signing

gudjohnssson- a non scoring forward, great just what we needed, I was really missing the Sam Gallagher role. As with the mentioned, not getting into positions to score and that’s red flags for a striker

there is probably others I have forgot but this is the reality of the squad. Quite simply it’s nowhere near good enough to compete. We could and probably should replace ismeal but I don’t see our fortunes changing with the squad as it is. No quality, no goals, soft underbelly, not able to turn games when we go behind.

Get behind the lads ffs. They just need a goal. Some time to settle in. We are in transition. Buy into the project. Write the next chapter.

Unfortunately it is evident to anyone with eyes and not wearing blue and white tinted specs that this team, despite having some endeavour, is woefully short of ability, experience and confidence for even lower championship level. The manager is a disaster and the transfer window has basically set us up for a relegation "fight", at best. How any genuine Rovers fan can still defend the absolute clusterfuck of a club ownership, exec and management is utterly beyond me. But I'm running low on emotional energy to give to it. Which I guess is part of the plan of that ownership and what seems to be an exec strategy of dumbing down, cutting costs, and lowering expectations. Why would any of us fans/supporters bother anymore if that is the aim? There are other clubs to give money, time and thought to, as painful as that is to write and think.

Team spirit is important but will only get you so far.

If those two are using this as any justification for decimating our club then I find that insulting.

Let's see how the team spirit is now after the manager has publicly called out Carter and Gueye.

I still found it bizarre when he said Tronstad wouldn't sign a new deal as he had some issues and wanted to go back to Scandinavia. It just didn't need saying publicly. Watching Tronstad lately, he really wants to go back to Scandinavia.
