Songman Posted yesterday at 16:36 Posted yesterday at 16:36 Well I was of the opinion any points we took from Leics (a) and this fixture would be banked firmly in the bonus points account. So as much of a free hit as we can get. 3 points from next 2 games keeps us going in the right direction. 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted yesterday at 17:09 Posted yesterday at 17:09 They could never have been seen as a free hit. Quote

Ossydave Posted yesterday at 18:23 Posted yesterday at 18:23 2019 our last win there, a certain Mr Szmodics actually played for them that day! A ground and city I really like, but never seen us win there ☹️ still in 2 minds whether or not to go as I am off work.... Absolutely no idea what to expect but we rarely play well midweek, especially after a fair trek like this. 2-0 Bristol I think (sorry). Quote
47er Posted 13 hours ago Posted 13 hours ago Do we ever beat Bristol City away? I remember Kean's team doing it in our first season after relegation from the Premier League. Some crazy score as I recall. 5-3 was it? Actually I manned up and googled it. We've played them 10 times at Ashton Gate and won 3, lost 5. Quote

I'll be there tomorrow but in a home fans section. Trying to rehearse my poker face for if Rovers score. Unsure if this is a skill I will actually require...! 2 Quote
roversfan99 Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago I remember beating them under Mowbray when Bradley Johnson and Adam Armstrong scored too. Quote
MarkBRFC Posted 11 hours ago Posted 11 hours ago Also beat them 2-0 under Lambert in December 2015, Hanley and Marshall the scorers. Quote
RoversTilliDie Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Most of Bristol city's wins have come from the bottom half of the table, they have also lost to Stoke 5-1; Q.P.R 1-2; and Oxford 1-3. They will be after bouncing back after Saturdays 5-1 defeat to Stoke. If we can get something out of this one, there will be a bigger gate for the Derby match. 1 Quote
Admiral Nelsen Posted 10 hours ago Posted 10 hours ago Apparently they're going through a bit of an injury crisis just now - so maybe the weekend was a game too far for them. Anyway, our midweek away record has been horrific for years so I'd be fairly pleased with a draw and keep the unbeaten run going. 1 Quote

Last season did buck the trend a bit on that to be fair, away midweek wins at Middlesbrough, Sheffield Wednesday & WBA. 1 Quote
ruggles1995 Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago Timing, timing, timing. We've played Leicester and Southampton all at the right time, we now play bristol away on the back of a 5-1 mauling. I think we can take at least a point here, id be surprised if we won, and id be surprised if they win off the back off a 5-1 defeat. Draw all over it?... if we come out of this without a loss its a good result. Quote
London blue Posted 7 hours ago Posted 7 hours ago On the Bristol match thread about the game: "In the last window they bought in Jalil Saadi, Dilan Markanday, Jake Garrett, Jack Vale, Sean McLoughlin, Ryan Alebiosu, Dion De Neve and Tavares." Anyone wanna tell them? Quote

Yea would be satisfied at nicking a point, hoping, praying the momentum carries for us and if it doesn't it reappears on Saturday when we are all hyped Quote

Old Codger Posted 4 hours ago Posted 4 hours ago We've had the rub of the green for two games in a row now, so am expecting lady luck to tear us a new one tomorrow evening. We can also expect, as a minimum: Toth and Alebiosu to have a good game whatever the score. Yuki to run his nuts off. De Neve flatters to De Ceve (pardon the pun) Gudjohnsen to put himself about to good effect. Low expectations based on recent form at Ashton Gate or wherever it is these days. Should be more confidence in the side based on our last couple of outings... Robins run Rovers Ragged 3 -1 Robins rue Rovers Resilience 2-2 Robins regret Rovers Running Riot 0-3 COYB! Give em a game, at least 🙂 VENKSTERS OUT! Quote

RevidgeBlue Posted 1 hour ago Posted 1 hour ago I'm never generally happy going into a game saying Id be satisfied with a point but bearing in mind we beat Leicester I think it would be acceptable in this instance. Would like at least 4 points from the next two games. Not bothered which way round they are. Quote
