Some of our players, should have been wearing Q.P.R. shirts last night, they passed it to them, and gave the ball away to them for ninety minutes. After last night's performance, Sheffield Wednesday will fancy their chances at Ewood.

Wednesday will win nailed on. The beginning of a death spiral into L1. The owners and their quislings don't give a f**k. Just sell a few more of what little quality there is left. And then the quislings blame the fans for not turning up - to watch a team that will have won only about 4 home matches in the calendar year.

Why should an empty stadium bother them, or for the matter declining income? Their solution as always is to sell another asset. The fans mean nothing to the owners - as we know.

Running out of assets to sell.

Hypothetically, although it would never happen, if NO-ONE turned up they'd have to sell wouldn't they?

Probably not. We've been written off in their eyes, consigned to the metaphorical bottom drawer to be forgotten about in the hope that one day we might come good. I can't any catalyst for them selling - at least not financial. In the grand scheme of their multi billions, we're a little blip on the balance sheet

They’d still go nowhere in such an eventuality.

They’d just mothball the stands and close Brockhall and the Academy

Maybe at one time, maybe 7 or 8 years ago, but they're concerned enough about us financially now to cut costs to the absolute bone so it must be having an impact on them or registering somehow.

Yes but we don't have any assets left to sell so now we're back in the territory of them having to plough in money just to keep the lights on.

I agree they don't care about the fans which is exactly why protests don't and won't work. Squeezing them financially is the only thing that will.

The days of protests working are long gone with many clubs having absent foreign owners who don't have any association with the area.

“The biggest mistake we (Venky’s) ever made was listening to Steve (Waggott) and Fraser (Read) and reducing season tickets by £30. What do you want next year, a reduction of £150?”

Make no mistake. Having a revenue shortfall hurts them. Its the only form of protest that has had ANY reaction from the owners.

Their revenue in real terms has collapsed in fifteen years, yet are they any closer to the door now then, say, in November 2015?

I'd say so yes.

They've gone from a position of "We will never ever sell this Club" not that long ago to Suhail conceding that Clubs are always up for sale at the right price.

Hope you’re right, but I see absolutely no inclination of wanting to sell. For me in November 2035 we’ll be having this same conversation (with no academy and Christ knows in what division).

We don't know, but probably not.  But of all ways of hitting back at them, it does seem to irk them, perhaps there is a point we havent reached that will make them want out. Thats part of the frustration.

I feel the key is to get Pasha out. He's been the constant running the show for 15 years.

If he's gone they need to find a replacement. They won't trust employing competent people in a proper process so they might think "Sack it, lets get shut now".

He's a stubborn, shadowy swine but for 14 years he's had an easy ride externally.

I really don’t care what anyone thinks about people who bought season tickets. I certainly don’t want anyone feeling sorry for me. I’m a grown up and make my own decisions what to spend my money on.

As for attending games, yes it can be a chore (me and my son got home around midnight due to the M62 being closed) but I do it because I enjoy watching football and supporting Rovers.

It’s a pity that Venkys and their management can’t realise that filling the squad with below average players and playing them in preference to the likes of experienced players e.g. Ribeiro and Pickering will only end one way.

My comment about feeling sorry for fans who have bought a season ticket wasn't intended in any patronising or critical way whatsoever. I have the utmost respect for the dedication of those fans who still go down to Ewood to witness such rubbish. You all deserve so much better.

Personally Mowbray and Waggott finished me off, the sense that we were no longer a normal Club with any aspirations of success was there even then. There were only so many annual collapses starting every December and instances of snatching defeat from the jaws of victory I could take.

Despite it all if proper people were put in place and I felt there was a genuine desire somewhere within the Club to succeed I'd probably be back. I nearly bought a half season ticket twice when we were going well under both JDT and Eustace and ended up being exceptionally glad I didnt after the twats in charge effectively forced them out.

The turnouts or lack of them aren't helping anybody, come on 7-8k turning up it's pathetic.

Yes we know all the issues but this is dire now if we want the team to win we have to give it all the help we can because by god it needs it.

Back the team NOT the regime supporters are supposed to support other teams fans seem to manage it but here people are just staying away because we aren't winning. I'm talking about the 12k we usually get not the missing 10k from 2012. All that it will do is hasten the clubs demise because some of those in power are looking for any and every excuse to cut back even more.

These are league 1 crowds and the least we can do is try and fight that off instead of contributing to it.

Not meant to offend anyone but cold hard facts are sometimes harsh although non of this detracts from the poor efforts on the pitch at home which are inexcusable whether there is 5k or 25k there.

Everyone makes their own decisions, I have a brother who has boycotted for years and I go to every home match and a good few away. Last night I was trying to get home from holiday to attend but didn’t get back to Manchester Airport early enough and so just caught the last 25 minutes on telly. I go out a sense of duty rather than enjoyment now, it feels like that if I can’t be bothered no more, then who else will go and without us, the fans, the club will die. Years back, I would walk down LBR amidst the throngs of Blue & Whites. Now, for night matches, I walk down almost without anyone else in sight, incredibly sad and a damning indictment of what Venkys and the stooges have done to us. Yes, there is no excuse for the performances and results being delivered at Ewood but it must be difficult for the team to play in such an empty stadium with a downtrodden and depressed remnant support.
