We are horrible with a back four. Miller is not an out and out centre half. He likes to drive up the field a bit with the ball. It’ll be the same but de neve in for hedges unfortunately

I agree but at some point one of Ohashi or Gudjonsen are going to break down so we need to plan ahead. Also no more CBs. Sheffield Wednesday are one of our easier games so might be the time for a change.

Also bringing on Ohashi to close our games rather than start them could help a lot with our robustness.

Might as well have kept Jack Vale one thing he was good at or maybe the only thing was coming on to chase down and close games out.

Total opposite of Gueye and maybe they wouldn't need to throw De Neve on to do the closing down at the front when he's a wing back !

If Ismael is to persist with these tactics i'd be looking to swap Gueye for anybody who can do that job OR play De Neve as a substitute forward.

Missed this game due to car breaking down. Hadn't realised how naught Gallacher's tackle on Carbone was prior to the sending off.

Yeah it was a bad 'un. I can understand why Carbone was so incensed by it. What a goal by Carbone, by the way. One of the best opposition goals seen at Ewood for sure.

Just to add on the weather front...it is storm like wind and rain out there in Blackburn right now. I've just been drenched getting back home from town. If this carries on throughout the evening, I think the game is at risk of being called off.

I don’t remember either of Vale, or Leonard for that matter, doing much in the way of putting themselves about.

They had a brief spell.

Different physical attributes obviously but nobody can tell me Gueye is an improvement on either.

His contribution outside of a little bit last season has been virtually nil, nothing.

They were due to announce who was taking over or the front runners to be their new owners today but have delayed it; hopefully avoids a bit of a bounce.

Are we going to be our usual selves and fix what is ailing The Owls, give em the win in other words.  Please no Tavares anywhere near the team.. I will give Baradji another go but laziness is not tolerated in this team.  All we ever ask is 100% if you have not been good enough but have given your all we.can usually live with that but to lose on the back of a couple of players being too lazy to chase a ball 2 yards away, well you can fuck right off.

But if a no win situation, even if we win we will hear it was just Sheff Weds and how crap are they.

Did I watch a different Jack Vale? Lad never broke into a sweat.

Pickering is being left out for none footballing reasons surely?

He runs like he's carrying a piano on his back - are you really going to ask him to marshal the entire left flank?

Our best bet right now is to start Ribeiro, tell him to run himself into the ground and sub him on 60 minutes.

What actually is his injury?  They normally say "knee", "ankle" etc, this one just seems to be defined as "an injury", which seems rather nebulous

He had his knee strapped up last match, didn't he? After he sat down requesting treatment.

To be fair we've been lucky he's lasted this long - loves a good spell in the treatment room does Ryan. Can't wait until we break Alebiosu too.

The usual BRFCS revisionism and before it breaks into a typical twisted narrative nobody is saying he was good he wasn't up to it.

But the odd good cameo he had he proved useful a time or two as a sub helping see a game out and the point here being that Gueye although being a totally different style of player has proven equally as useless overall since hes been here.

He was signed for Eustaceball though whilst were we find ourselves now with Ismael's style ironically the Vales and Leonard's on the bench would suit it better.

No way this game is on tomorrow its properly coming down now.

Everyone was saying the same about the Stoke game aswell to be fair.

Weather was horrendous around 4pm today - I drove past Ewood and up LBR, there was more surface water on the road than I can remember seeing.

But it's since died down a bit.

If it picks up again overnight, I think it might be at risk.

Tomorrows is the first game I have been able to attend since the abandoned Ipswich game.

Good to have you back & lets hope team and management get this right. A win will take us up the league.

Well one place with a good set of results. But I would settle for that.
