I thought it was a good performance, Boro did look a class above at times but you can't fault us for effort.  A really good point at a high flying Boro with us having a decimated team. Niw adding Gudjohnsen, Morishita and possibly Cantwell, I thought Tronstadt was solid, I am sure at least one person will strongly dis-agree.  If inly we had better quality finishers, oleased with the lads today and a decent watch too.

The link to Thomas Assante was never a strong one. One unconfirmed report of an offer, uncorroborated by any other outlet. Neither Club confirmed any sort of offer was ever made.

32k p.w. was a figure Im sure I saw quoted at the time somewhere as the sort of money Bamford word cost on loan. Im surprised it'd be that cheap. AI has his Leeds contract down as 70k p.w. with the contribution Sheff Utd are making as unknown.

Either way it'll be a lot more than we're willing to pay.

Thought we were fantastic today, I thought they looked pretty ordinary considering they were at home. Got a touch lucky in 1st half but thought we managed the game well in the 2nd and were the better side. 

 

Beradji looks a real exciting prospect and needs to be starting games soon. He looked a level above a lot of the players on both sides at times.

It sounds a fair estimate

They have a few on more than  £25K/week

In fact those sort of wages (£25K-£30K/week) are at the higher end of "normal" for most in this division, apart from Sheff Wed, Oxford,  Charlton, Portsmouth, Rovers and maybe Preston

I thought we were excellent today. Yes, we lack a lot of quality but the workrate, pressing, and desire to win the ball was brilliant. Really nullified Boro, particularly in the second half. Over the course of the 90 mins, we were the better team.

Cantwell and Sonny are the two key players for us. We are so much better with them two on the pitch.

I said a couple of weeks ago VI needs to stop bringing on De Neve and Gueye as subs as it's costing us points. Thankfully he has and it's made the world of difference.Gueye is done at this club. His performances and worth ethic have been way below par this season. De Neve will likely stay for the season and go in the summer. Tavares being out for 8 weeks also does us a favour. He'll probably be sold in the summer too.

Sonny is one of the best at what he does in the championship. He hasn't got the speed or technical ability for the prem, but he's certainly one of the in the championship.

Jackson said in his podcast that BTA was his first choice, Also Sky Sports said we bid for him. We never put a bid for for Bamford or McBurnie

I dont rate "holding midfielders" who havent an all round game in general. Travis for example is a far better player imo and coincidentally he's the one that has thus far earned a big (ish) money money.

For me Tronstad just nips in and makes a few nice tackles or interceptions per game and is completely anonymous the rest of the time. Is risk averse and never makes anything happen. 

I know people dont agree so that's fine. I don't mind.
