I bow to your fantastic memory and experience, but I can't say this is the weakest I've seen in my lifetime let alone yours. I don't really recall lineups, but I've had worse feelings before games (admittedly maybe I've become apathetic could be why I don't feel as much worry today). I do remember we fielded a pretty young team against Harrogate, and absolutely battered them. I think an even younger Tom Atcheson played that day.

The lads seem to be handling themselves well enough so far. I think part of the problem people are having is that a bunch of them are unknown quantities. But that's what the early rounds of the cup are for these days, especially with an injury hit squad.

Really does beg the question (again) as to why we shipped out all the good players and signed a load of dross, when we have Dlamini, Powell, Acheson, Montgomery, Pratt & Litherland all ready to supplement the squad.

As one of the Academy’s staunchest defenders, I thought you’d be delighted to see a few of the youngsters getting stuck in to a strong Hull side. Otherwise, what’s the point of it?

Not sure what anyone else thinks but I really don’t like Kevin Gallagher as a commentator, more especially on his summary punditry before and after games. I contrast him to Paul Gallagher, who I think is really good, talks a great deal of sense but was more often doing Knob End. He’s now taken on the Barrow manager’s job and I wish him the best of luck.

Tbf it would have been a very strange and risky move to sell those players and then say 'don't worry, all their replacements are completely untested players in the U21s'. Although we could have done to sign 2 or 3 less players and put more money into getting quality where we did buy.

Anyone in this forum who watches enough football can see more than clearly that the players Rudy has brought in this summer couldn’t lace the majority of the academy lads boots, it’s only in recent weeks I’ve been thinking what is the strategy and who is putting the scout reports together?

if it’s about saving money then why not just promote the academy?

De Neve I’ve said enough but Henrikkson 😂😂😂 who the fuck thought ‘that lad will change our fortunes, he’s a proper championship player’ he is fucking useless 😂

definately no scouting going on with the chuckle brothers (deneve,sidnei and henrikson) they`ve obviously been bought on agents recomendation
