Club has just announced Damien Johnson in charge tomorrow evening.

For me, keep Johnson the rest of the season. The club needs to get this hire right (not that they will).

Finally managed to get the ticketing system to accept my dosh, so it should be 7,801 at least. I think there might be a bit of a (literal) groundswell of support, in the short term at least, and perhaps a little optimism that brighter times are ahead. Let's face it, there wasn't much chance of it getting much bleaker! Or was there? Will need to sleep on the news before penning a prediction. Watch ths space eh?

Think you're right there, if nothing else Johnson is an appointment everyone can get behind.

Looks like we've no choice, VI was a big mistake.

Johnson is the best we have the day before a massive game. Ok we have other issues but appointing the right manager will take time.

Good look Damien, we'll be right behind you and the lads tomorrow.

Rovers nailed on to win now.

Will set off like a house on fire.

Rovers winning at half time is 19/20 (full time 2/5, Owls 19/2 - shows you what the bookies think).  Fill your boots!!!

Cadamateri gone but they’ve brought in 3 players it looks like today, no excuses though we need to knock them out of the park

What are we expecting tomorrow night then? 4-4-2 ?

To be royally and deservedly entertained for 90 minutes, with Arte et Labore to the fore.

Just for once in a long while, to feel like there is some pride in pulling on the Blue and White jersey, and some semblance of a thoroughly professional approach from our ragbag of misfits and toffee apples.

Not much to ask.

Did they sign in time to play tomorrow?

2 of them were announced this evening, so you would assume not (although I will caveat that with "announced" does not necessarily mean they were not registered earlier)

One was announced yesterday so he should be available

We need to get a manager in.

Johnson has only been in caretaker/interim charge for 1 game in his entire time here.

Our Championship status hangs in the balance, huge risk to leave an unsupported first team coach in charge.

People will get behind anyone getting decent results, and anyone being appointed with a fresh start. This idea that Johnson would specifically get people unified, I dont get.

This will be interesting.
We are all hoping for a Carrick style bump.

A loyal Rovers player and club man coming in as caretaker manager.
Win handsomely and it will be down to players not able to express themselves.
Draw or lose then it doesn’t matter who we bring in, we are rather screwed as we are incapable of rising to the occasion against a very tired youth team.

Obviously, you have someone on your short list that’s available?

As I said, make the right choice. I don’t think we should go back to Mowbray, & I’m not full of confidence with the other names being floated. I’m not being a wise-guy- who do you have in mind?

Can't remember the last time we had odds as low as 4/11 for a home win! I know Sheff weds have been in worse form than us like but we still have the issue of needing to score.

A change in manager and going back to basics and a something like a 442 can work as Carrick has shown, only difference being he has the likes of Cunha at his disposal 🙁

Above all else the players didn't seem aligned with VI, or that they particularly liked him or his tactics. Johnson I assume is reasonably well liked at the clubs, he and whoever the permanent boss is needs to get the players on board with him and make it so they'd run through brick walls for him.

Ultimately the players are extremely well paid and its disappointing that they should ever underperform based on who their manager is, but it's not exactly a rare occurrence in football.

We'll definitely see a few changes tonight, probably a reflection of who's worked their bollocks off in training.

I'm going for a 3-0 home win, Cantwell, Moroshita and Yuki all on the scoresheet.

The best we have, could do worse than Johnson, he partnered Lowe, and won 2 out of 3, before Ismael came.

And give him a contract, if he keeps us in the Championship.

My worry is that yes it’s great we no longer have Ismail in charge but we still have the same bunch of players who seemingly can’t shoot…..it’s the hope that will kill you 🤣

We don't have a target man upfront. We haven't had one all season, the error has been acknowledged  by the outgoing manager but nothing has been done. We are really lightweight up front.

Not really no but as you ask.

Carlos Carvalhal on an 18 month contract

Gary Rowett till the end of the season

Billic or Wagner, if they can be tempted (I don't think they can)

Did anyone else experience issues trying to order their 'Waterlogged abandomement' tickets?

I've still only been able to order one of the 4 bought for the original game...

There may be a queue when the ticket office opens at 10am...

I wouldn't under estimate Sheff Wed, who have give one or two top teams a scare.

Genuinely don't see any problems tonight, even with Ismael I was confident of a win.

We are poor, but this lot are the worst championship side in many a year.

Of course I really hope we win to get us out of the bottom 3 but not sure I can do with the no doubt constant crowing from the club about it for the rest of the week.
