  1. That’s football, you are badly run, badly owned you struggle, ever thus. Ipswich belong in L1 because that’s where they are.
  2. Swag will be straight in at the EFL meetings trying to nip that in the bud…
  3. Do Bournemouth ‘belong’ as a PL/top end Championship club? Do Fulham? Do Watford? Brentford? Talking about ‘natural levels’ is nonsense when the third division is full of ‘big’ clubs.
  4. He ain’t exactly far off already, so it won’t be the road to Damascus 180 we’ve seen from some others on here post an Ewood brew and biscuit…
  5. Seems an odd thing to focus on for AW, the fact he was complete shite would have allowed for many more accurate chants…
  6. We will if we are up towards the top, but you won’t have many more than the standard c3k walk ons at £25 to £35 a ticket if we are just plodding along.
  7. Can’t say I remember that one? Was AW even remotely overweight? Kevin Davies, maybe…
  8. Amazing how true my old John Williams anecdote is, I.e we have 8k that will always pitch up. JW saw that as a challenge, as a base to work with, and worked his arse off to attract and keep many more in the tent… whereas Swag can’t believe his luck, 8k just fall into his lap paying ridiculous prices, job done already.
  9. If only HG had done that a few months earlier…
  10. Will take some doing to sell 1,500+ at the ‘un-loyal’ price of £430 to £530, largely to new fans as you won’t be selling many more to existing ST holders, from here. It will be a trickle from now on and we will finish with c8,500.
  11. Excellent, another poster that will come back telling us how we all ‘know nothing’ and waxing lyrical about Swag’s plans for ‘big positive changes’ 😒
  12. 1st July, so officially out of contract, but still no ‘Thanks for everything, Ryan’ Tweet from the club…
  13. Hang on wasn’t he saying the other week that GB will report into the owners on football matters, he will focus on the commercial side? But to be honest his latest comments sound about right, opaque structure with all these people involved the fans literally couldn’t pick out of a line up, loads of rungs on the reporting ladder, a convoluted sign off structure. Plus ça change, but it’s obviously just how the owners want it.
  14. I was watching Sky in the lunch break and Jos said how he’d just moved house down the road from Morgan. I’m presuming long time Middlesex and T20 gun for hire Eoin wasn’t living in Cheshire! Just reinforces what we already knew really that Buttler is a Lanky player in name only.
  15. I’ve talked about ‘churn’ before, but with over 2,000 existing ST holders looking like they haven’t renewed, 25% non renewal is a bloody high figure, so it’s a good job JDT has attracted a load of newbies to take up the slack to keep us pretty much level as a net figure.
  16. Really? He’d been a regular for Leeds for years and was one of the stars of their title winning side… and had some international caps, was in the England side at the Euros the summer before. It was a massive signing, real statement of intent.
  17. They’ve obviously changed their mind, *again*, and made a decision to not inconvenience those new ST holders, after saying that’s exactly what they would do - so on the flip side they have now upset long standing ST holders with often decades of sitting in a seat. Not a ‘claim your seat deadline’ if your seat has gone. End of the day, it was unavoidable that either new or renewing ST holders would be losing their seat with the club flip flopping over price and ending then reinstating claim your seat deadlines when all the seats were on open sale. Another in a long running series of ticketing debacles.
  18. Yep, probably c8.5k by the time they go off sale. Pretty much what us ‘know nothings’ on here have been saying for weeks. So we will scramble to what we finished last season with. And that’s with some good vibes re JDT. Thank Christ TM’s contract happened to run out in 2022 and not 2023 or sales would have been truly horrific. Two season in a row now we have had tickets ranging from £400 to £530, and both times we are hitting an 8.5k ceiling, and it took a charge to the automatics last season, JDT coming on board bringing a bit of momentum this time to even to get to that pitifully low number. Another total failure, and we are now a club that has, in the case of Blackpool, stayed par with, and has fallen thousands of ST holders behind Burnley, PNE and Bolton - imagine saying that the day this lot bought BRFC. At a functioning club, the CEO would be on a call with the owner this morning having to explain himself, or just clearing his desk. Here? 🤷‍♂️ ‘We did all we can’.
  19. We ‘thought big’ in many areas, a truly innovative club. Be it RR, RoverVision, the Blues Bar, club lounges, town centre shop and cafe and so on. We also had a network of supporters groups across the area. I could go on and on. Now, unlike the likes of Darwen FC and Clitheroe, we don’t even have a match day programme, and seemingly can’t keep the estate free of weeds. These owners don’t half throw in a lot of cash, and have such a ramshackle, small time operation to show for it.
