  1. Should be relatively straightforward to find a willing player who'll put the graft in for the team and carry some kind of goal and assist threat. Sadly they want wages of 10k pwk plus so it's a non starter he'll already be looking for the next Telalovic/Ennis but hoping this time one finally clicks.
  2. If they know they are going to be able to send a lump of money mid season then there might be a little wiggle room in summer but without a cast iron guarantee it's unlikely anything more than the usual 500k for a lad from Crewe will be available.
  3. Waggot is just doing as he's always done and that is covering for the owners and protecting his own position. All he's bothered about is getting to the end of the season then hitting his ST income target to ensure another year of wages. Year to year winger who has NEVER had a long term plan other than the cost cutting downgrading one because that's all he knows. It needs pinning on here that this is the second time in 6 months hes said the issues in India should be resolved. Also Broughton, he said publicly he'd been assured there''d be Wharton money to spend but he also said last season he'd have the same budget. Might as well scroll their words on bog paper the pair of them because that's where it'll end up.
  4. No idea what order but I'm thinking a win, 2 draws and 2 losses is on the horizon so pray that's enough though wouldn't be surprised if we drew 3 and lost 2 ... There are always twists and turns but get that next win asap and we can relax a little bit i hope.
  5. Just silly when there's an away end holding 2k that will be three quarters empty and even if only 25 bought on the night that's £700 plus. Surely there is a window there that could handle that and more than cover its cost of opening for 1 hour.
  6. Can't believe anyone would buy Waggots comments about the situation in India where hes just repeated what was on the so called owners statement. Last year he said the situation was all in hand and would be sorted in March, it wasn't. He is winging it as usual he hasn't a clue what is happening all he knows is some money has come in from transfers and some more will. So he creates the impression the owners are able to send money, the only time we know that's true is when one of the various things on companies house makes an entry.
  7. Young guy again still developing physically when he turned up and now looking a bit stronger.
  8. He needs to maintain something like that level of performance to be a serious first team contender. Needs that side of his game to come out because the fancy stuff doesn't really work for him at this level, needs to be a grafter rather than luxury type player. Wonder what he'd be like in Szmods position and if they are thinking of trying him there eventually ?
  9. I'd say IF there is any money that's exactly what it will be and what they are 'investing' in. A couple of unproven in this league 500k signings, that seems to be the model we just have to hope Greggs stick a pin in a bargain basement roulette wheel comes up trumps with at least one of them.
  10. I recall us turning up at WBA one Sat afternoon without tickets after deciding to go at lunch time and there was no pay on the day turnstile of away ticket office. So we spoke to a steward there and he just said go into the ticket office to the far window and they'll sort you out, they did, no aggro no problems. Of course that was a few years ago and now it would be way too much bother in the post covid digital reset world, what a load of bollocks.
  11. Why are clubs so set against pay on the day these days ? Not like it'll be a sell out in either end and what is so difficult about making tickets available for a handful who might turn up on the night ? Another sad state of affairs in the present era and there must be some nonsenical driving factor as usual like many other things.
  12. I rarely listen now whoever is boss i find it keeps me a bit more sane in regards to what's going on and less knee jerky. Bowyer did it for me i liked the guy but couldn't listen to his right good go nonsense after the latest 1-1 at home where we'd only attacked with any conviction for all of 10 mins at the end. So i virtually stopped listening pre/post match since then barring the odd occasion. Ironically i'd started listening a bit more when JDT rocked up because he was fresh and a bit different but haven't listened to one Eustace one yet and that's no disrespect to him but most managers it's just platitudes and cliques. Interviews away from matches are a different matter.
  13. I'd be trying to win this and have that mentality going into it. One more win should see us safe and the sooner it comes the better so lets have a big push and get the job done.
  14. It's a long old haul from Southampton to Ewood to be fair and they are an entitled bunch these days so no surprise they were quiet.
  15. Yet constantly questioned and belittled in some quarters ..'Euesless' etc Fact is we are suffering constantly from the lightness of the squad and lack of a genuine central over 5'5" goal threat. Of course this more solid style takes away from the attacking fluidity but that's going to happen whoever is in charge and it was the same when Hughes took over from Souness years ago. Big change in tactics but there is method there and to improve it then it will need adding to in the right areas and until that happens ( or likely doesn't ) we wee with this willy and stay in this league, just. We haven't had the quality or set piece ability to nick games for years and years and that is something that costs us year in year out.
  16. Harwood Bellend wouldn't be where he is if Rovers hadn't given him a chance on loan although sweet irony that the lad he got selected in front of stock is now higher. So it would be nice if Gallagher or someone could serve him a reducer at some point. Too nice though our lot.
  17. Never change a winning formula unless you have to. (Even though its only won 1 in 10) 😂
  18. You have to resign on there when you are retiring.
  19. We'll probably clear about 5 million profit on him that will keeps the lights on for 2 months.
  20. Nice move so the faceache and LT deluded mob assume he was the problem and hes taken the hit. A head has rolled, stop moaning and get behind the V's FFS, 20 million a year or we Bury !
  21. I'd assume a contract being terminated comes with an obligation of some financial compensation unless hes volunteered to cull it himself. Either way stupid signing and money straight down the bog whether it's a hundred grand or 3 times that.
  22. Well if he has that'll be his contract paid up then !
  23. We got 16k home fans on for Watford when there'd have been 11/12k max and they brought 1500 when there'd have been about 700 so i'm sure they didn't lose much. Waggot and Broughton have wasted several hundred thousand to maybe half a million taking over Flecks contract for 6 months presumably out of the Wharton first instalment. That money would have been better suited put towards subsidising season tickets in a significant early bird discount. Keep selling the good players, leave the team struggling and can't sign any decent new ones then the least they can do is give a bit back to fans by encouraging more to commit. No agents commission in that though.
  24. Probably just a new ambitious commercial manager who is trying a few things the old farts can't be bothered with.
