They've seen almost £200million 'disappear' in some 10 years. In decades of involvement in business / commerce, I have never seen folk sit back, do nothing and watch more money disappear down a plug hole. A tipping point will come. I think this will be their last roll of the dice to try and retrieve the situation otherwise it might well be curtains for Rovers. To try and retrieve the situation they now HAVE to be radical - shuffling the deck chairs will no longer suffice.

I'm with @Paul Mani on this one. I think the V's know they have to get the next set of managerial appointments right - quite possibly their last roll of the dice and hence the time being taken and what some folk might construe as an unnecessary delay or even evidence of maintaining the status quo. I posted about a month ago, just days before Brockhall 'cessation' announcement, that I understood the whole thing had got bigger and more complicated. If I'm correct, I think one hand might not be enough to count the departures from Ewood.

You miss the point. Mowbray bangs on and on and on about possession - IMO, just trying to buy himself more time. Last night, Real Madrid had close on 70% possession and got a hammering - a 5-0 scoreline would not have flattered Chelsea. Real Madrid were a more expensive version of Rovers, disorganised, couldn't defend, slow, boring and tiresome possession getting them nowhere and little creativity. Tuchel has been at Chelsea for about 20 games, not over 4 years! Yet Chelsea are organised, have a plan and Tuchel gets the very best out of what he has got. Compare to Mowbray - I think we are disorganised, have no plan, can't defend and lack pace, power and skill. Good managers get results and quickly. Impact of Ismael at Barnsley and Tuchel at Chelsea has been incredible. None of this evolution, slow build cr@p that Mowbray bangs on about. Sadly, I think Mowbray is one big dud.

What we would give if Rovers could play like that. Organised, pace, power and terrific invention and skill. Loved it - what football should be.

Pointless having any choice unless you know what Venky's business plan / strategy is (assuming they have one)!? It would have to be horses for courses - for example Kenny only came here because he knew Jack would back him big time.

Don't think you've quite got that right! My recollection is that I posted in December (four months ago) that my relative with PNE connections was of the opinion Neil would be the next Rovers' manager.

Let's be clear - Neil would not be my choice. However, my relative does have a knack of coming up with information that proves to be correct and he has made me a bob or two on these type of things!!!

Relative of mine with PNE connections lumped on Ainsworth as soon as market for next PNE manager opened and stands to win close to £1k should it happen. Same relative who told me back in late December that Neil would be next Rovers' manager (as I posted back then) and he still thinks it will happen!

Night before a match and just a dozen or so posts - says it all about the apathy. Just who cares what happens in tomorrow's match. Could be more watching me barbecue tomorrow - succulent steaks, sizzling sausages and 'magic' mushrooms all accompanied by a memorable Malbec (the Hermandad).

Rovers have big problem with Armstrong. Just one year left on contract and interested clubs, and I don't think there are many, know it - Newcastle also will be owed a big slug. IMO, wont be a first choice for too many out there. I'll put my head on the block and say he'll go for £15million or, more likely, less. Where is the market for a guy who, IMO, has decent pace but very limited football intelligence. Will be meat and drink for PL defenders. As for Assombalonga, wages way too much for us - dead in the water. More chance of Rhodes ending up back here (for love and not money!).

You think what you want Gav. This is too sensitive and emotional to wind folk up. Not a drop passed my lips today - yet! It's a lovely day, off for a six miler followed by a bite and a pint or two in a beautiful setting not too far away from Brockhall. Just hope I don't bump into Mowbray!

Think @paulmani and @oldjamfan1could well be right and Mowbray is offski. Spoke this lunchtime with the guy who told me after the Bournemouth match that Mowbray would be gone within hours - he'd seen my post last night and told me 'all was still on', patience called for. Asked who he thought was next in line and how quickly he thought a new manager would be in place - would neither confirm nor deny Rovers had been turned down by a managerial target as that would be 'wild' speculation (think there might be a cryptic clue in there and I'd hazard a guess that Wilder was targeted but has bigger fish to fry). Was loathe to post this after what didn't happen almost three long weeks ago but maybe there remains a glimmer of hope for those who want Mowbray gone.

I think our owners are a problem - how many business folk out there spunk away some £20million a year whilst at the same time, IMO, sit idly by and watch their 'investment' go to rack and ruin. However, the club's most important senior managers (Waggott and Mowbray) are, IMO, two imbeciles who have been taking the p1ss out of the club and its fans for some time now. I could just about stomach indifferent ownership if I knew the operational senior management of Rovers had the best interests of the club at heart; IMO, Waggott and Mowbray fail miserably on this.

You might wish to add Waggott as a reason for not buying a season ticket. IMO, Waggott and Mowbray are imbeciles and come as a pair and hell would have to freeze over before I put a penny more into Rovers with EITHER of them at the club.

Shocked and horrified. It now seems more likely Mowbray will be offered a new extended contract rather than be sacked! IMO, this is all too reminiscent of the Kean era. IMO, our club is engulfed by a cancer - I think there is no rhyme or reason behind executive decision making. After some 60 years of supporting Rovers through thick, thin and very thin, I am now finished with the club. Waggott and Mowbray disgust me and by the time they leave town, I dread to think what will be left of our club.

I don't think Mowbray is an overly intelligent man. IMO, it's frightening.

Leadership and clarity is needed from our owners and senior executive management. Publicly, they should back him or alternatively sack him. To say or do nothing are not options.

I think Mowbray is taking the p1ss now and, IMO, knows his comments will be inflammatory with some - would he do this if he knew he had a future here? IMO, Mowbray has descended into Kean and Coyle territory. Humble, honest, a man of integrity? Not in my book.

Why is it raining today when the weather forecast yesterday said it would be fine!? Seriously though, I posted an update yesterday and then decided to hide it after a few minutes - some on here might have seen it before I hid it. Decided to hide it because I didn't want to set the hares running again. All I will say is that my understanding now is it's got a bit more bigger and complicated. I still think there is a fair chance Mowbray will not be in charge on Saturday. Will be interested in where @oldjamfan1 thinks we now are. If I've been sold a dud and none of this happens, as posted previously, I will retire to my wines from this MB.

Should be interesting as I suspect neither Sharpe nor Bayes expected Mowbray still to be in situ.. Think it will be a tad prickly given Bayes' pre match comments on Monday and Sharpe's subsequent articles.
