I managed to watch the second half on Rovers TV. What a horrible web site is the Rovers; not easy. Still couldn't watch it on full screen. Anyway, we played some brilliant football but after the third goal we should have changed the game by making it scrappy. Plenty of throw-ins to them in their own half. Nothing better than a stop-start game for preventing the opposition from getting going. But our youngsters haven't got that nous yet. Leonard is improving every game. I'm feeling satisfied.

We are all revelling in watching Burnley struggle again in the Prem. But what would we prefer? To tread water as a mid table championship side season after season or to be a yo-yo team where every other season we are brilliant and every other(other) season we get thrashed every week. When people think of competent managers they think of Warnock, Hodgson, Steve Cooper, etc. But I reckon Lee Johnson is another one. When he was at Bristol City I always fancied him coming to the Rovers. He seemed to do a good job there. Now watch Fleetwood Town climb up the league. He seems to be a chap with no airs and graces. He isn't a bighead like Mourinho. I think he's just a good manager who enjoys a challenge. If and when JDT leaves us we could do worse than appoint him.
