  1. Jason Wilcox was the best crosser of a ball I've ever seen at Rovers. The only one we have at the moment is Harry Chapman.
  2. Was he? I didn't know that. No wonder he got the run-around by West Ham's Harry Hooper. 😁 Only he and Finney, of course, could trouble Bill.
  3. I have a season pass. I've just logged on and I think I'll be able to watch the game. So what is all the nonsense about audio only?
  4. Surely Williams cannot be match fit. I wouldn't expect him to play 90 minutes.
  5. What a superb player. Roy Wegerle. What a talent. One of my all time favourite Rovers players.
  6. I have been on quite a few other clubs supporters web sites and none of them are anywhere near as good and professional as this one. So thanks and well done to all. Thanks for telling me how to edit. I found out how to "like" a post by moving my cursor around someone else's "like". To the right of that, in the bottom right hand corner, the "like" symbol appears as if by magic.
  7. No pussyfooting around with tackles either. Not a red or yellow card in sight. That's how the game should be played.
  8. On the contrary. He seems to flounder a bit and gets outmusseled.
  9. Thanks for that. I was 7 and a half years old at the time. I cannot remember whether or not my dad took me to that particular game. He may have done. We used to sit in Stand B of Nuttall Street stand. But those players were the first ones I remember. Patterson in goal, Les Graham, Jackie Wharton, Eddie Crossan and that blond-haired Anderson on the right wing. Didn't they play well against City. They usually struggled; very inconsistent. Glad to hear the commentator call our colours correctly. They had to be meticulously spot on in those days.
  10. I remember seeing Bobby Langton hit a thunderbolt of a shot which John Charles, the Leeds Utd centre half, stopped with his head. The ball landed on the Darwen End roof. Charles didn't bat an eyelid.
  11. Simon Garner on Radio Lancashire thought that Trybull should have gone to RB. But I do believe that Buckley has played in that position before. He is definitely not a RB.
  12. 2 or 3 replays of the action or camera lingering on the manager while play continues really gets me screaming.
  13. Neither is Ayala. Millwall's goal was unstoppable IMO Kaminski is a joy to watch but is he ready for when the opposition suddenly gain possession in their own half and hoof it high and goalwards aka Armstrong v Cardiff. I hope so.
  14. Beer Brothers is very expensive ale. Bottles of Harpers Golden Ale in Aldi at 1.09 a bottle is the perfect taste for my palate. It's my favourite taste of beer.
  15. The referee sanctioned their kit before KO in which case Kaminski should have worn all purple. Why are modern referees displaying such stupidity? That chap is thick from the neck upwards. Is it any wonder us fans get angry with most of them. They display total incompetence. Glad of 6 points from two games we didn't deserve to win.
